Could be and im sure it will be a great hostel as they are still building it bit by bit. Stayed for the second time in an 18 bed dorm (one thing I won't ever do again during carnaval, but that's my preference, I can't handle that lack of organisation) A few little things I didn't understand like no door/cover for the toilets in the COMNUNAL bathrooms? They are building a rooftop bar/restaurant which will be great when finished and the views over Rio from the building are unparralleled!

Location: This is in the Favelas. We had many cab drivers refuse to drive there because its a bad area. The only way we felt safe was in a group. Staff: Staff refused to turn on A/C during the day. It was 100F with very high humidity. They also lied about the safety Cleanliness: Showers were pretty gross. Floors washed with bleach which can ruin anything on the floor Facilities: Toilets did not have doors. If you don't mind going #2 next to another person then it wont be a problem

living in a safe favela. It can be reached after a hill and 143 steep stairs - super exhausting! staff was nice and helped us with the tours and taxi. They speak good english. Hard to get in contact with other guests, because the common area is 21 steps away in a different house. The common area and kitchen were quite dirty with a lot of ants and cockroaches. Dorms and private bathroom are clean but simple. very few breakfast - just toast, no self-service. Good party initiation & organisation!
