it's really far away from the city centre and i had to walk for like 20-30 minutes which could be really hard with all my luggages. the room was so much cleaner than expected and the shower was nice. The bar downstairs looks nice too. The only problem was the pee-like smell inside the elevator and the hostel doesn't look safe at all. But overall, it's great for the price that i've paid. Cant really complain.

The hostel was DISGUSTING and HORRIBLE!!! We had to change 2x the room and the last one, the bed was broken. It was stinky everywhere. I didn't sleep at all and didn't have a shower because the bathroom wasn't clean at all.all the bins were full... I won't DEFINETELY come back in it.

The room was not very clean. Two of the bunk beds were broke so we had to share the non broken bunk beds. There wasnt many plug sockets-there was only two and in an awkward spot. The mirror was nailed the wall BEHIND a bunk bed. The bedding was great with the towels. The location was fantastic & we only had to get transport once which was to come back from the otherwise of town. Everything was in walking distance. The staff were great.

The room hadn't been cleaned. Those who stayed prior to us had left garbage and used towels and that just lay there. The room was extremely cold. Cold wind blew in from the window and we had to lay with all our clothes on underneath the blanket just to stay warm. The heater didn't help much.

This hostel is in the perfect location if you just want a fun time in Manchester. It's not very pretty inside but the bed sheets and baths are clean so the rest doesn't really matter. Our room was clean, warm, and quiet once the club had closed. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This the worst hotel/hostel i have ever seen.It was dirty, damp & very cold. There was no kettle in the room, only 1 bedside light worked & the bathroom was awful,it had a big damp patch on the ceiling & the plugholes were black, there was no toilet roll & the bin was full.I had to go into the bar next door to get somebody to give me my room,i paid & after seeing my room left again within 20mins.There is basic & budget but for £40 i expect to be able to sleep in a clean warm room.Totally disgusted!

Accomodation very scruffy, dirty bathroom, found hair in the bed which makes me question whether it had been changed. Had cups and a kettle for making tea/coffee but didn't actually have any teabags/coffee, milk etc. Once i asked though, the reception lady did find us some so therefore the staff were very helpful. No soap and the lift to the different floors stank! Considering the price i guess you can not ask for much.

The worst I've ever been, even without having a club underneath. the walls were literally shaking but that's OK on Saturday, I've been warned. the hostel is VERY dirty all-over and smells like a butthole. I didn't have a duvet nor hot water (I've been told about the water like a week before, fair enough). So, if you want to sleep somewhere after a day-out in Manchester/football/party with your mates the place is good for a night 'cause it's very central but sadly not so cheap.

There was mold everywhere which is a health hazard, there was dust everywhere, hadn't been cleaned in years, cracks on the bath, broken blinds and window and no heating. We got a refund and went to the travel lodge on black friars street. Which was lovely and CHEAPER!

We were there for a weekend in january. The hole weekend we haven't got any hot water in order take a shower. Also the radiator doesn't work well. It wasn't a comfortable situation in wintertime. The hostel contains a "bar" in the ground floor, which is more a big club. Our room was in the 3the floor. The guy from the reception (who actually live there) told us that we wouldn't here anything upstairs. Unfortunately we heard & felt the bass of the club music (friday till 1:30, saturday till 4:00)

During my period of stay in Walkabout the lift didn't work and my friend and me were at the 4th floor! There wasn't warm water in the bathroom, and the room was dirty.

Wifi only available in the lounge. They can't find a good kettle in the reception.
