wi-fi in room, fair beds, spacious dorm. Good location in Pisa. Staff is friendly and helpful. No outstanding communal areas, but the ones that are present are fair enough. All in all a good hostel to stay at that I would recommend.

this hostel was really good, the staff were very nice even shared their dinner with us...location is perfact...on the main street...only issue was the bathroom there were renovation when we werethere so it was out of order...they have a lock out between 11 - 2pm and their kitchen is a microwave...but really is very clean, and nice feel to the place...is in an old palace...theres 300yr old windows..

Pros: Perfect location, communicative and helpful staff (map + usual advices about food/fun), typical hostel with many possibilities to interact with others. Cons: I was moved from previously assigned bed without any prior notice and without my consent/presence (somebody from the staff just grabbed my things and moved to the other room). Leaving luggage after checkout later than 2pm costs 2 EUR. Somewhat stinking kitchen, but apart from that it was acceptably clean.

Thanks for the positive review, sorry there was a large group coming that we really wanted to keep in one room so for everyones benefit we had to move you and you just weren't around to ask but we took great care with your items. The kitchen was in it's final days hence a bit dirty, it's now been gutted and is a brand new bathroom. Kitchen facilities are in the dining area now. And yes you can leave luggage for free until 2pm but after you can pay to leave it there for as long as you wish. Sometimes people will leave it stay in another town for the night and pick up the next day - it's a good deal and service we think

Absolutely fantastic place to stay really relaxed, with friendly staff and good dorms (big rooms). Pool table, fridge and computer/wifi. Really fairly central. Unfortunately Cooking facilities were out of action, and the kitchen wasn't really worth going in to, but there was a fridge in the main area. Also only two bathrooms In the whole place so there were a few queues.

Thanks for the lovely review... we listen to people so we have built a new bathroom where the kitchen was and moved those facilities to a new location in the hostel means we have a total of four toilets now

This hostel is very good and very well located. Well worth staying there. But I had a single problem. I booked a bed in a room with six beds and got one with eight. I was tired and it was my last night in Italy, chose to stay and forget any difference because the hostel is quite nice. But beware!

everything was excellent just that the kitchen was a tight space which wasn't very clean. other than that, superb location, security and atmosphere.

Rooms did not lock, 2 bathrooms to share with everyone. And the bathroom's were not clean at all. Had little to no sleep because of all the noise on the street below.

We are building an extra bathroom(21-5-2012) ,will be ready in 1 week time, we alredy ordered sound proof windows ,they will be placeced before the 1th JULY 2012 . We clean everyday from top to bottom using bleach for the bathrooms ,they shouldn't be dirty ,maybe was late in the evening and some of the customer just made a little mess...cheers

Walking Street Hostel was great, I have no complaints. The location is great, clean rooms, nice bathrooms (although only two for the entire hostel), nice staff, nice common areas! I would definitely recommend :)

Great location. Seems like everyone complains about the lack of toilets/bathrooms at this hostel. It is really a problem and should be addressed. Bit of a 'party' hostel. There was a double bed in my 6 bed dorm room in which a couple stayed. I found this akward and inappropriate... There should only be single beds in shared dorms. No breakfast either :(

So we listen to people and have completed today a new bathroom so we have four now in total.people really seldom have problems with the double beds infact many, many more really like the idea and we often have them in the girls dorms and given a choice two girls travelling together will frequently choose the double bed over a bunk option. And no, for our current low price we do not offer breakfast but have 24 hour free coffee tea and biscuits and are central next to supermarket so you can grab a baguette etc. We're not a party hostel and we are clear about this so not sure where you get that from, we have no curfew but at night it's quite voices only. We sleep here also after all and have to get up early!

This place was very good. My only complaint is that the street noise outside is very loud (I did stay on a weekend, so that could be part of it). It made sleeping very difficult. At the same time, this is due to its location near a busy pedestrian street that means it\'s central to fun things you want to do, so I guess you have to expect that to some degree. I recommend a stay.

The street in front of the hostel is very noisy, although pedestrian. It makes the front main room unpleasant.

Great location between the train station and the tower. The staff are really friendly and the hostel has a nice homely atmosphere. It is a great place to chill out with a glass of wine (thanks again Dan!). Definitely would stay there again.

Nice place, sucks it had a lock out because there isn't too much to do in Pisa, but still it was a good place to stay. Nice location.

The staff was great and they were very helpful. The room was VERY noisy. Those old glass-blown windows (which were very beautiful though) let all the noises come from the street. It was like sleeping outside. Earplugs weren't strong enough for sleeping. The curfew was terrible cause we had to chill out in the town and there's not so much to see in Pisa. Luckily there is wifi, internet connection and pool table in the hostel. It's not a bad place to stay but it was the worst hostel on our trip!OK

Location 5 min walking from the main station, not far from the tourist attractions. Hostel is nice and comfortable, cheap. Girl at the reception very kind and helpful. Surely will stay again here. Highly recommended!

The hostel is in a great location, near the main train station. It also has alot of its own unique character, with a certain section of its wall decorated with the voices of other travelers who once stayed in the hostel. The staffs are very friendly and always willing to help. There is free wifi and a free computer for surfing the internet. The only bad thing is that there are only 2 toilets for everyone.
