Wish I had more time here. Great hostel, only a bit pricey. Can't beat the location though! Lots of people. Good vibe. Clean and friendly staff. I didn't shower but the bathrooms were large. No shoes allowed was cool. Beds comfortable enough.

We had an amazing time at Walters B&B! Walter really made us feel welcomed and as if we were at "home." The room was very large and had a comfortable bed, but one of the best parts of the B&B was the second "B." The breakfast was delicious, filling, affordable (only 7 CHF!), and Walter gives enough food to even make a sandwich for lunch (we did every day on his suggestion, and he gave us bags to carry them in). He even showed and told us about his koi pond. Thank you so much Walter!

The proprietor was friendly and helpful enough, but the place was so horribly filthy that we tried to spend every minute out and away from that place. The sheets were covered with hairs from other people, and the floor had dustballs and insects and hairs. Everything is old. We laid out the towels they provided (which were free from a cheese brand BTW) and slept on top of that. It was cheap, but STILL not worth it!

Walter is he nicest person. I have stayed there 3 times now the first time alone the second time with my partner and the third time with more of the family. I will go back there again. His breakfast has to be seen to be believed. I don't know of any other establishment - and I've done lots of travelling - that gives you a large plastic bag and several thick serviettes along with your breakfast and tells you they are for you to take with you what you don't eat now so you can eat it later!

Fantastic experience. Value for money and highly recommended for budget travelers or even non budget travelers. Host was excellent throughout the stay.
