Great location, great value! Only issue was with the water heater in our room.

Tiny place. Felt like bed bugs were everywhere. Shower and sink and toilet in one 4x4 room. No communal room. Very plain and boring. Such a cramped plaHce but so is EVERY place in Hong Kong.

I've stayed at Wang Fat Hostel for three nights and I'd definitely recommend it: location is very good (near MTR and bus stations, but not in a dodgy area — it's not Chung King Mansion or something in the way), rooms are, of course, tiny, but for Hong Kong it's more than normal, and they are very quiet — all social life takes place in the common room (which is, actually, very nice).

We stayed here during Chinese New Year, so all of the prices around town were inflated. It's hard to make a comparison in this special situation, but it wasn't the worst hostel we've ever stayed in. The rooms are a bit small and there was no heater, so you just had to deal with the cold of winter.

A little confusing to find it on arrival. No complaints though. Wifi worked fine, great location (next to the subway, McDonalds, ATMs and stuff). Same place as Comfort Hostel, I booked nights at both and rooms were in the same corridor. I booked a room with shared bathroom, but they actually gave me a private one on arrival, so very nice indeed.

Sam was very welcoming and keen in helping you out. The location was perfect in Causeway Bay, and the MTR station is just around the corner. The place is not very clean. When I got into my room, the toilet didn't seem to have been cleaned, and after seeing that I thought I wouldn't trust the towel either. The bed looked clean, I hope it was, but it was harder than a rock. The toilet/shower/sink are are all in a tiny room so when you shower everything gets wet. Would stay somewhere else next time

Sam is a bit of a character. The hostel has everything you need without being outstanding. It's pretty clean, free internet, common area with beers for sale. It's really close to the MTR station and right across from a grocery store.

The staff are very rude and unhelpful. The rooms smell terrible, bathrooms even worse. As I was checking in a girl was leaving the hostel 2 days before she had intended due to recieving severe bed bug bites all over her body, I too checked out a day early because I was so unsatisfied with the hostel. Would not recommend this place to anyone at all.

The hostel is a a good location but they dont care too much about you, they just provide you you a bed and some facilities and thats all, the cleanliness should improve the beds seems not very clean and the rooms sometimes are a bit untidy, is a good place for a couple of nights but thats it, dont expect too much for this hostel.

Hostel is close to the MTR station. Hostel and location very busy. I had a quiet room with bathroom. Everything except availability of internet access acceptable.

We reserved a TWIN single bed, they gave us DOUBLE BED. If you confirm us with our reservation. dont tell us that there is no vacancy with that reservation. Staff are not friendly. Elevator too slow

Although ChungKing Mansions didn't look nearly as bad as the reviews made it out to be, I was glad that I opted to stay in the Causeway Bay area instead. It is much calmer here and you don't have been in your face trying to hawk stuff. The hostel is in a very good neighborhood with the subway just around the corner. I stayed in the 3 bed female dorm which was clean enough and had an en-suite bathroom with an actual shower stall which was nice. Fine room for what you pay - I'd stay here again.

Well located though all the rooms are noisy, cold, and the bed are not enough long. I am a girl of 1.70m and I couldn.t fit in the bed.

I'm surprised to find my room to be quite spacious, I can move around and put my luggages on the ground. The ensuite washroom is tiny though. My bed is pretty hard though. But overall, it's a good place to stay because the area is clean, safe, and conveniently located amongst the shopping area. Just down the street and around the corner is the Causeway Bay (Victoria Park exit) metro.

The rooms are ugly! Small and very dirty.. The only thing which save this hostel from a complete rejection is the location, which is not bad and well linked with the center and the interesting place of the city.

Hostel is situated in the central of HK business district area, easy access to various areas of interests. I stayed on 10th storey, block A, condition of the small room is acceptable, bed mattress is very hard. Toilet is always having dampness smell. No changing of pillow covers & bath towel unless you made a request. Internet connection on weekends can disappear due to high demand.

it would require just a little effort and a few money to make a place enjoyable, Ikea is 5 minutes walking, and you don't see this effort at all...sad purple and yellow walls sad white lights, no place to put things in. No love in hosting people. Doesn't really give envy to pass sometimes in. thanks god is HK ...

I have not stayed at many hostels so I may not be the best reviewer. At first I was totally creeped out by this hostel. You check in at one building, with a hard to find address in Hong Kong, and then are led by this Asian Lurch type character to yet another nearby location. There's a confusing key pad entry, claustrophic elevator, then two more keys through a non descript door to your room. I was convinced if I was murdered there my body would not have been found for ages.
