Recommended. I actually stayed at their location across the street. Great location near the shopping. Supermarket around the corner. Really do have 24 hour reception. Good Internet in rooms -- could Skype friends back home. Cable TV with about 12 channels, though only 1 in English (Pearl TV). Great showers with hot, hot water. Breakfast area only has coffee/tea from 8-10 AM. It was fairly quiet when I was there -- several Spanish families. Otherwise, could be a good place to meet others.

I had to move out because of the rugby tournament they wanted to rent out all the rooms and ask double the price. This was not very service-friendly.

Lady at reception is really friendly and helpful! Great location, easy access to transport and clean. Can be a bit hard to find, but there are many friendly people around who will happily help you find the exact location. When you find it, it's actually pretty obvious. I Definitely recommend it for the price.

I had an awesome stay while I was here. Clean facilities, cool room mates, great bedrooms, and overall, highly recommended.

OK hostel in a great location. Great hostel cat! Small common area with no comfortable chairs. Erratic WiFi. Very clean except for a moldy bathtub shower curtain.

Great location, international wall plugs, friendly staff :) only downside is the price, but that's just Hong Kong for ya

One out of two electrical outlets didn't work, smell of sewer multiple times in the room and hallway, ants living in the walls and crawling up even to the bed sometimes (fortunately only a few). The water of the water dispenser in the lobby tasted really bad!

The hostel is in a great location in HK, you can buy cheap sushi in the supermarket crossing the street, take the metro right down the corner or enjoy the tramway trip to central station. Bed and pillow were comfortable and clean, wifi quite fast. Not the right place to meet new people as common area is very small, and the hostel is splited in two different buildings. Make sure you find a different place if you want to print out something, as they charge 1 usd per page!!!

Cheapest hostel we could find on the internet and it had everything you need if you don't like to stay in your hotel room. The only downsides were that it smelled a bit in the bathroom (coming from the drainage) and the mattresses were not the best, but still ok to sleep. A guy I met there who stays in Hongkong regularly because of visa issues in China where he's working told me that there were actually cheaper hostels but that you wouldn't wanna stay there...

This place is a hit or miss. Really depends on if you get there when they are full or not. I stayed here twice within a couple of weeks during flight layovers. First time was good in a 4 bunk room with a locker, but second time I was placed in a dank room with no locker. When I asked for a locker, they said too bad, we just don't have it. The room had no ventilation and the bedding was damp. I slept on the couch outside the room. Very tiny public area with lots of unsmiling serious travelers.

Staffs was really nice and friendly, I was stayed at another building, some roommates will bring stranger coming, so I think it's good way for safe to put the camera in the entry.

The hostel is not only in the BEST location in Hong Kong, the manager is the greatest guy around. I've been staying there since 2004 and every time I visit Hong Kong, its Wong Fat Hostel for me. The rooms are super clean, and the kitchen/common room gives a great atmosphere to the place. Definitely very highly recommended.

After reading some of the other reviews, I was expecting the worst but this place really isn't so bad. There is no real hostel vibe going on but the location is perfect (supermarket and public transport very close) and everything is clean.

Good hostel, well located in the centre of the fashion walk area and just by causeway bay metro station. Price was expensive for a hostel but no different to the prices of other hostels of the same type. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, service was also good. Shower's hot water didn't last very long sometimes and did not hang on the wall. Also there was an occasional strange smell coming from the bathroom.

First this place is hard to find and there is no signs at all. Second my room was in another buildind, of the original hostel. Third, the staff said about a "breakfast" in the morning, but it just tea and coffee. Fourth the showers are cold! And fifth the staff are rude and dont give u information about the city. Never stay here!!

because of the fact, that the hostel is located in more than one building, there is a problem with contacting the reception while having problem. In my building there was no phone i could use to call the reception desk, so i was was forced to go out of my building to get help. It is a problem especially, when you don't have your door key, because it's locked in the room. You are also not able to call the reception desk using your phone, because chinese sim cards don't work in HK.
