Very nice hostel. Really good location on Hong Kong island and really close to the metro. I stayed in a 3 dorm bedroom, the madress were a little hard, but otherwise it was okay. The bathroom was good with hot water and there was a personal locker to your stuff. There is a nice common room ideal to meet any backpackers. The staff was friendly and gave usefull information

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Location is great, very close to the subway. Free wifi available in the rooms which is a nice touch.

The very friendly guy at the counter gave me a comparably big room - the largest one I got so far in a hostel in Hong Kong. The room was very clean and had a flat screen. After all, I can absolutely recommend the place.

The front desk person with whom I interacted the most, Sam, was unfriendly, deceitful, and just generally unhelpful. When I arrived, he said that I didn\'t have a reservation. I looked on a manifest which indeed did not have my name on it, then I spotted the list from hostel.com and there my name was! He told there internet on my floor of the hostel there wasn\'t. When I raised the issue, he said he would look into it he didn\'t. This was four days in a row. And he\'s easily distracted.

Wangfat hostel is so far one of the best hostels that I\'ve stayed in HK. Different to most HK hostels that only got very limiited space for \"lobby\", Wangfat\'s got a quite spacious reception area and even a commom room with internet. If you are looking for a good location especially for shopping, it\'s located in HK\'s most popular shopping district with SOGO, IKEA right within 100m, a 24 hour Welcome supermarket accross from the street, and all shops right downstairs - DKNY, Agnes b. Burberry,A/X Aesop,

probably the best value for money in HK. more of a guesthouse type place due to lack of bar/real communal area.

Location is very accessible to all: MTR, restaurant, taxi stand, shopping malls. Will surely come back to the hotel as the price is very cheap.

Hostel was all right, good location close to the tube and buses, but very hard to find as it's in a plaza with normal flats. Dorms are on different floors next to normal apartments, so it's a bit weird. There are a few hostels in the same building and it's just one hostel!! Very unfriendly staff, barely speak English! Atmosphere was nice coz of the travelers. My dorm didn't have any hot water.

Interesting. Reception was on 3rd floor, we were on 9th floor, despite signs saying it was illegal for anything above 3rd floor to be non-residential! The private double room was tiny but sufficient, got upgraded to ensuite for free. Read the address carefully, not the easiest to find. Great location, right by the metro and a good supermarket across the road. Very quiet at night - don't come here for a hostel atmosphere, good if you just want a few nights chilling in your own company. Good wifi!

This is not a hostel in the proper way of thinking, let's say it's more a collection of rooms in DIFFERENT builidings. Although nothing has been stolen I need to report an inadmissible event: right after we went out for dinner a woman of the staff entered the room and was spot by our sick friend still in the hostel; the woman was scared and ran away. ABSOLUTELY DON'T KEEP UR VALUABLE BELONGINGS IN THE ROOM

The staff were the worst part of this experience. Complete lack of any interpersonal skill/s. Spoken to more as an inmate checking into a prison, than a worldly traveller entering a commercial arrangement. The room was quite ordinary. Dingey, with one mattress on the floor. The toilet took ages to fill up, so we had to use the shower to flush the toilet. When asked if we could stay another night, they said 'no' without even looking at the sheet, then offered us an extra night as we checkout!!?

The staff can seem a little pushy and arrogant at first but they mean well. The room I rented was not to bad for what I paid, a little small, but easy to move around. The room was misty when I first got there, but when I turn on the ventilation system all was fine. The best part of this hostel it is located in a nice location in Hong Kong close to many food, and shopping stores, it is also only 5 minute walk from a subway stop.

Cheated, they charged 2 times my credit card swiping it 2 times claiming a tecnical fault; I of course signed only one receipt since I never authorized a second payment of the same amount. I noticed it in my bank account and I had to claim the fraud to Mastercard that will investigate. Don't give your credit cards to them, I mailed them 3 days ago and I had no answer. About the hostel, I never saw in my life a hostel where it's allowed to smoke in the common room, if you like it welcome.

It would be nicer if the hostel DON'T let people smoking in side the living room. If people who want to smoke the should go side all for the open area. Staffs are nice and polite, I will be back again for sure.
