My apartment flooded.The staff was extraordinarily helpful, excellent service; they put us up in one of their dorm rooms and since it was the off-season and we had work, they switched things around to ensure we had the dorm to ourselves. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms/showers were immaculate. Clean linens/blankets in the closet.Fill yourself w/toast & tea each morning. 18th st. is best bar scene in the city. lots of restaurants, fifteen minute walk to 2 metro stations. Stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed my stay, the rooms are good and the bathrooms new and plenty of them. Short walk to the metro and really in a nice neighbourhood with lots of options for food. The guy on the desk is great and will accomodate you on pretty much anything. You receive what you pay. Paying approx $25 per night, you can expect the conditions you are paying when arriving. A mixed room with 6 beds is packed with bunk beds with narrow space for anyone to move around. Even though the fellow roommates were friendly and non-creepy, if I were to stay in a hostel again, I would try to get a 4 bed room or a private. Cleanliness is fine; it\\\'s not dirty, but not spot clean. The location is terrific that you are in a best place for the night life. You receive what you pay. This is my 3rd time staying at the Hostel. Its amazing and the owner Steve is very friendly. I always have a fantastic time. Its clean, inexpensive and with your own key, its 24hrs so you can come and go when even you wish. Its also has terrific bars and restaurants literally right next door plus its only a few short blocks from Dupont Circle and the rest of D.C. This is my 3rd time staying at the Hostel. The hostel is in the best location in town to go out, eating, party and sightseeing! The hostelmanager is extremely friendly and also helps you with bookings to get discounts etc etc. The rooms aren't the biggest but we had great fun!The hostel is in the best location in town to go out, eating, party and sightseeing! This place was pretty good - don't use the internet there it's always stuffing up. The restroom to guest ratio is a bit unfortunate but otherwise no real complaints, it's DC and this place isn't expensive.This place was pretty good - don't use the internet there it's always stuffing up.
