I had really good time in this awesome hostel! Perfect location, friendly stuff, interesting traveler around. I'll come back here whenever i come DC for sure definitely.

The fact that there´s a night club literally right under the hostel, is something which should be stated on the website. I know it is cheap to stay at the hostel and that you get what you pay for, BUT...please, please, please, invest in a dishwasher! I was disgusted when I saw the state of the so called kitchen! Lastly, if it says breakfast on the website, offer breakfast for crying out loud! Milk, peanut butter and jam is NOT breakfast!

Really great people and close to everything around the area. It was really fun to live there and the hostel was really good.

The staff was great and helpful, it was a nice atmosphere. The toilets and showers were clean and fresh. The living room could be a bit messy. The kitchen could have been cleaner as people don't always wash their dishes. but on the other hand you can just go out on the street and it is full of all kinds of restaurants, also bars. The location is really great, nice area. There is also a supermarket very close.

Amazing hostel with great staff and a perfect location! I had a great time during my stay in D.C and a big part of it was because of the great staff at the hostel. Terrific people, who were always willing to help! Big thanks to Steve, Grant, Davis, Stella, Marta and Cherry and I hope to seen you guys again someday! Adam

My worst student hostel experience ever, having seen over 15 across several countries. Cheap and good location though. The 3 different receptionists were either sleeping or swearing like a 16 year old who had just discovered the words... There is free wifi if you have your own computer, or pay $1 for ten minutes on a computer that doesn't work. Given the price, Im not surprised at the thin layer of dirt and crumbs everywhere. Nightlife is cool, but very loud & close enough to wake you up.

I spend a wonderful time in Washington thanks to this hostel : you feel at home instantly, can easily meet other people. If you have time, you can walk to the mall in less than 1 hour and the trip is really nice. I will come back, for sure !

The location is great, it is close to a metro station and practically walkable to tourist sites. The bedrooms are clean and you have a private locker ( bring your own lock). The only thing that put me off is the internet connection. If you stay in the upper floor, then it is very likely you won't get any connection, so the only place you can connect to the internet is the lobby, which is not convenient if you want to browse the internet in your pajamas or the comfort of your bedroom.

The hostel was quite disorderly. when you come to the "reception" you will find yourself in an old living room, with dirty socks laying all over the ground. the rooms were ok, but there are only 2 bathrooms for about i guess 30 people staying on that floor. Checkout time is between 8 and 11, but at about 9.30am no one was there and it took me a while to find someone to get the key deposit back. there is no chance to keep your luggage, but they told me i can leave it in that old living room...

The staff weren't available in the morning when trying to check out. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Many people live in the hostel and leave there stuff everywhere. The hostel is in a loud neighbourhood a long walk from subway and down town. The bed linen was old and worn out and the beds were very squeaky! Not a comfortable stay.

Difficult to find but in a nice location with some shops near by. The bus station is not far and in a short walk you can be at a metro stop.

They haphazardly keep their reservation books in a grade school composition notebook and it shows. Furthermore, two staff-persons had an argument about my checkout because neither one of them wanted to stop what they were doing to take my key back. When I arrived there was a staff-person napping in my room; she was told to wake up and leave but they didn't replace the sheets. Were it not for the staff, this place could be nice. The location is central to the Adams Morgan neighborhood.

Had a great stay! Very nice people. Great first stay at a hostel.

the place the hostel locates is great, it is close to restaurants, Starbucks, bars , supermarket the staff working there are fantastic, who really made me feel at home definitely had a great time living in the girls dorm and had a great conversation with those girls as well.

The Hostel is in a good location of a lot restaurants and bars. But the Hostel was quiete dirty (the rooms, bathrooms and especially the kitchen) and there is always coming cold air through the window, even if it's closed! Additonal, i booked a 6 bed room, but we have to stay in a 8 bed room! I would never go there again!

The service is excellent . The staff is kind. I like the place.

We stood four nights in the hostel and it was great. The staff and the owner are really friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for everything (Bars, clubs and many little shops where you can buy food and everything else). We felt more then welcome and the atmosphere was perfekt. The subway is close, but we walked the most time in the city. I left my staff in the living room and nobody steal anything. The bed are bigger then in other hostels and the rooms have a really good size. Thanks :)

Good location.10 min walking to the next metro station and several buses stops. Clean. Good atmosphere. Many places to have a coffe, drink or eat something very close. They don't have a security box or other way to keep your things. however, I didn't have any security concern. Breakfast very poor. Some cold during winter.

The location is amazing if you are good at sleeping. The staff is pleasant, although I heard rumors of the owner popping into people's rooms without knocking.. I enjoyed my two nights there and was able to enjoy lots of bars in the area. I don't know if I'd stay there again, but mainly because I am not interested in partying every night..

Kitchen was dirty.. Many people left dishes without washing. It's not only staff's fault though. There were not enough bathrooms. There were night clubs nearby hostels, so It was too noisy outside on weekend. I heard one guy who might come from outside cried on corridor one time during the midnight.. I'm not sure about the security.
