This hostel was the best hostel we have stayed in on our trip so far. It was a shame it didn\'t have en suite facilities and we shared the room with a majority of guys but the staff especially the owner Steve made up for this! Very friendly, helpful and warm people. The location is great by lovely restaurants and only a bus ride from downtown and as soon as you arrive you are notified of places to go and how to get there! The main thing that stood out though was the staff and Steve will not be forgotten! Th

The room and the bathroom were extremely dirty. The place needs maintenance and serious cleaning! The room was very small and dusty. Plus, manager was extremely rude. He needs to learn how to treat customers!!

The situation is good for nights out, in Adams Morgan. But of course it will be very nosing till mid-night. There was some construction going on when I arrived the hostel so the air was bad. The living environment also not clean. But staff was willing to help.

This may not be the most well designed/fancy/trendy hostel, but it\'s definitely worth the money. The staff is unbelievebly helpful and caring, and the facilities are always clean. And if you like to get e bit more on american culture, you gotta meet Steve (the owner), specially during the NBA season - he knows everything. All I can say is thank you for everything! Two thumbs up for Washington International Student Center!

Had a great time at Washington International Student Center. Steven was a great host. He really looked out for all his guests and their needs and requests. His insight helped many who were new to DC, It has full-private bathrooms, which is a nice touch. The location is awesome Adams Morgan. Literally next door to a great 24 Hour Diner and 4 doors down from Madam's Organ, rated as top 20 bars in the US (Live Music Every Night) Close to metro bus to go to all the DC sites museums/monuments.

The hostel is located in a very good spot in Washington! The hostel is situated in a street were a lot of restaurants and bars are so you get to meet a lot of new people by just walking outside. Two subway stations are pretty close as well so that\'s conveniently. The staff is very friendly and can help you to find your way around the city. Next time I\'m staying here for sure again.

Thank you to the staff at the hostel. I had an awesome week staying at the lively hostel where the mood always was good and I felt home from the first day on. I met a lot of interesting people from everywhere which created an incredible atmosphere. Next to the hostel is a pub called Madam's Organ which alone is worth to come to Washington D.C.! Such an mind.-blowing mood! The neighbourhood is a great party spot. Good value all around.

The Washington International Student Center is by far the best hostel to stay at in Washington DC. It has the best staff and is the ultimate home away from home! The living room is a great place to chat and meet fellow travelers. This is the 'cool' place to stay as it is relatively exclusive and is located in the best party spot in Washington DC, Adams Morgan! All of the hottest bars and clubs surround this hostel and I would recommend this hostel to anyone that is looking for fun and friends!!

I've been ther one and a half years ago already and i don't regret that i went back. Adam's Morgan is THE Party-neighborhood, the hostel is in the center of capital city nightlife! The rooms are clean, the lobby is comfortable and kitchen/bathrooms are in a good condition. Staff is very friendly and helpful, roommates were nice and altogether it was awesome! The only bad thing: parking is a catastrophy, use metrostation dupont circle (park&ride if you have a car)

Been here before. Home like situation. The beds are wider than most other hostels. Central location with good clubs around it. Walking distance to Metro or if you want to the heart of the city. Can buy food at the local market to bring back and cook.

The staff is funny and the bathrooms are clean enough for a hostel, however the whole hostel is kind of unorganized. Lots of people get an 8 people bedroom instead of 6 people one. Moreover it\'s directly located over a bar, so it\'s really loud during the night. So try to get a room in the upper floor if you require some sleep!

The owner of the hostel is very rude. In addition to being loud and obnoxious, he literally farted right in front of me as I was paying him. The kitchen was incredibly unkept and the breakfast was a bag of bread with some butter. I highly recommend going somewhere else.

The kitchen was so dirty and rosty it cannot be used, we decided to eat out every day to maintain our health. There's a nightclub under the hostel, so no sleep until 4 am from Thursday on even with earplugs. Very unprofessional owner & receptionist who was rarely there. The closet was used for storage of toilet paper and old paint buckets, so no space & no clothesline to hang our clothes. It smells bad and the bathrooms are dirty and dusty, there is litter under the beds and in the corners.

The kitchen is so dirty and old you cannot use it. Two windows were broken, and the owner did nothing to fix it. The breakfast is rediculous, the cheapest and most untasty ever. This hostel is an insult to every traveler. There was no shuttle from the train station as promised, instead we had to take the subway and a taxi, for which the owner promised to give the money back, which he did only half. This is a total disappointment, better go to hi hostel. Under our room a club no sleep wt earplugs
