Wave Trotter is a great hostel with a friendly atmosphere, large communal area and clean rooms. The owners are friendly and there is a real family atmosphere about the place. The only negatives I would say is that we paid $52 for a private room which was tiny with no towels provided. The beds were also not very comfortable- most people mentioned this. Overall, I would absolutely recommend the hostel to a friend and met some really fantastic people in the week that we were there. Thank you!
it really can't get any better.

Kitchen's well equipped, rooms are spacious, staff is great, building's unique and new. No-shoes-inside rule is not great, specially if you want to go to the bathroom. Water taps deliver a tiny string of water, kind of annoying. Shutters and doors are open most of the day, and there are no windows, so basically anything can get in at any time (that didn't exactly bother me but I noticed it). Upper bunks are break-your-neck high, hard to get on or off of them, this was the worst part.
Staff were fantastic - beautiful hostel, nicely decorated
