Hostel is 30mins walk from the Royal Mile (touristy street where the castle is). The breakfast is nothing special and you pay £1 for it, lots of cheap alternatives around. No lockers, but there is security into your room. Shared (male/female) toilets and showers. Beds squeak. It was an average place, but i would stay there again.Hostel is 30mins walk from the Royal Mile (touristy street where the castle is). I could not fault it,if you are a smoker they leave the fire exit ajar so its easy to nip out for a cigarette, and being literally across the road from Haymarket train station and the Air 100 bus its in a perfect location,if i have another late flight i will use again.I could not fault it,if you are a smoker they leave the fire exit ajar so its easy to nip out for a cigarette, and being literally across the road from Haymarket train station and the Air 100 bus its in a perfect location,if i have another late flight i will use again....Close Read Owner Comments

Worst hostel I stayed at my entire trip. Staff seemed to care less about guests. The DJ in the common room hosting a rave was truly annoying, I had to go outside to make a call. Lots of locals as live-in guests, a few of the guys were harassing me and I didn\'t feel safe at all. I asked to move rooms and no one listened. Locked myself in the kitchen for a bit to avoid them. There\'s a room people seem to use just for smoking spliff. Note this place is right outside Haymarket long ways from Waver...MoreWorst hostel I stayed at my entire trip. it is not the perfect hostel to be in, but not terrible either. if you are in a low bugdet trip, it might be perfect. it's 5 min walk from the city centre. the place is quite clean. security is not the best though, not always there are people around and no one asked for my information when i arrived. it is not the perfect hostel to be in, but not terrible either. if you are in a low bugdet trip, it might be perfect. it's 5 min walk from the city centre. the place is quite clean. security is not the best though, not always there are people around and no one asked for my information when i arrived. ...Close
