This place was amazing. The owner and his family were so helpful and friendly-- really added to our stay. Bikes were available to rent for the day and very inexpensive. Close to many good food joints but far enough off the main street that it wasn't too noisy. Hi speed wi-fi in our room and hot water 24 hours. Didn't need a deposit and way cheaper than most hostels in the area we looked at because it was during the Spring Festival.

Steven, the manager, was such a lovely character, speaks good English and extremely warm. The room size isn't considered spacious but it's clean which is more important in my opinion. If u can climb the stairs better than I can, I'd suggest to stay on a higher level to avoid being too close to noisy locals in this street in the mornings!

Nice place, quiet (as far as the cardboard walls of Yangshuo buildings allow) about 10 min walk from the West street and the Li river, 5 min from the bus station. The owners, a couple, are very nice and patient, speak good English and have all kinds of info about attractions, lessons and can arrange tickets. The double rooms (we booked 3 of those) are small but clean, the shower a bit cheerless. The best room is 402 on 4F and the one next to it - they are bigger and have a view.

Very good place to stay if you want to avoid the crowds at West Street. Only 10 minutes walk to West Street. Great staff, helped us with everything. Double room was cheap, clean and big with quite good bed! Definitely worth every penny! You can also rent a good quality bikes for 20 Y / day.

This was hugely overpriced. The beds were so hard that it felt like we were sleeping either on the floor or a wooden crate. The owner was really unfriendly. I'm sure that she did not crack a smile once and looked at us with disdain.

Great little hotel. The owners are very organized, helpful and knowledgeable. Not in the best area but it is close to the walking/shopping streets.

West Lily was awesome. It's about a 10 minute walk from the heart of West Street where many of the restaurants and bars are but it was really nice because West Street is crazy and being located a little ways a way was definitely a plus. The owners were great. They helped out a lot with directions and activities. They also had very good discounts for activities, better than any offers we had received at other places. The rooms were very clean and cozy. Would definitely go back!

Steven and Lilly are wonderful hosts, speak terrific English, and are very willing to go out of their way to help their guests!! They were able to help us with everything we needed from a wonderful 'strong man' breakfast to organizing day trips and activities. I wouldn't consider this place a hostel but rather a nice, small hotel. I would most definitely recommend the West Lily Hotel to anyone without hesitation!!

Only stayed one night. Bed was horribly hard. Not sure if breakfast is provided as left too early. Not as noisey as some Yangshuo hostels in the centre of town but still not totally quiet. OK for the price.

Got to the bus stationin yangshuo and didn't remember the adress, so i called the number and thay came and picked us up 5 min later. The owners are real nice and speak well enough english. Not quite by west street, but that doesnt mean it gets dead quite at night. Theres still the odd signal horn. But all in all a good place to stay

Not really a hostel, just a small hotel. very nice and helpful staff, comfortable location (like numerous other hotels in the exact same place). Very nice and big, sunny rooms, nice and clean shower. Comfortable to arrange tickets to shows (don't go to the awful impressions show!) or bikes. Good value for price!

Excellent place! It´s a small hotel, not really a hostel. With very friendly and helpful staff, great rooms, FREE WI-FI and AC. All for a very good price. We had a very good time there!

After booking and paying for 6 nights, I discovered after the first night that the window could not lock. I travel with a lot of expensive camera gear and the owner of the hotel regretfully said he couldn't guarantee the safety of my gear. We agreed that I would move hostels. The owners happily refunded me the full deposit and weeks payment and extended their courtesy by offering me a refund on my first night. Honest and fair people are hard to come by these days! thank-you.

We stayed here for 3 nites. The location is close by the "West street" and the bus station. Beside these 2 points, nothing special, no internet or wifi in room, the breakfast is not that great, just expensive. The Bamboo Raft bicycle tour we booked with them were cheap, but it just ok. My friends booked his tour from ctrip and it was better, paid 30 RMB more and his tour were not just the bamboo raft he got to see the cormorant fishing too.
