This hostel is located quite far from city centre (10 min in taxi from Buchanan station = about 8p) We had a very small double bed ensuite. The shower and the flush were a bit tricky... OK for a few hours... :)

It would be wise to read the hostel information before you book. The information about our location states very clearly that the hostel is in the west end of the city not the city centre. The name of the hostel West End Backpackers should have given you a clue.

besides the jaring beds which makes it quite hard to sleep everything was fine.

While the location is good, and the staff are friendly, the building is very poorly maintained. The stairs are treacherous and the carpets old and dirty. My "suite" did have clean bed linen, but the walls and ceiling were stained and dirty. The furniture was so dirty that it had dust outlines of the belongings of some previous tenant. The bathroom was relatively clean, but there was black mould in the shower, and the handle to flush the toilet was completely broken off. Recommend avoiding.

I only stayed a night with a friend, but I can say this is a modest and quiet hostel located in the nice area of West End, close to a huge park and museums (pretty much nicer than the center of the city).

If you wanted the city centre you should have booked in the city centre. Read the terms and conditions regarding check out. It explains the procedure very clearly.

They need more bathrooms! There is three bathrooms, but you can have shower just in one of those three! So...more than 30 people used one bathroom for shower! Kitchen and dinning/living room are really small. Maybe for 10 people max!

This hostel was awful. We had originally booked three nights, but upon arrival realized we only needed two. We were still required to pay for the third night and the receptionist was completely unapologetic and rude. There were only three bathroom to service three large dorms, and one did not have a shower. The kitchen was sub par with crusty dishes and condiments, and someone stole my groceries. The whole place was disgusting and we walked in on someone wanking in the dorm. Do not recommend.

Read the terms and conditions regarding cancellations. It is very clear. If the kitchen was dirty it is because people do not clean up after themselves. We are not a maid service. If you labeled your food no one would have taken it. You can not blame the hostel for what a guest does.

Really good value for a nice hostel, 3 minutes from the subway, very handy to get to town. Staff were really nice, gave their best to make me fell welcomed and comfortable. Internet for free and really confy bed.

The people were very friendly and we even went out to eat with someone from reception. There was free tea and coffee plus free food left behind by others, but the cooking facilities were broken when we first arrived, as was the shower in our room. There were other showers we could use and we did enjoy our time. I liked the bedding.

There was only one bathroom (with one shower) for all the dormitories. There are no lockers in this hostel, so we can't leave our stuff there and go for a walk. The location is good, but that's it. Nothing else is good.

The staff were never at reception, the location is out of the city centre and there was not community of interaction in the Hostel.

It was the worst hostel I have ever seen. Unfriendly staff, bad service, ramshackle building, water damages at the ceilings, dirty bathrooms, untrustworthy inclined floors. The 3-bed "deluxe" room was undersized and in a terrible shape. It is a shame that they call that room "deluxe". Don't sleep there more than one night!!!

I small and cosy hostel close to the University. Very close to the underground station and easy to find. Since it's located close to the university there are a lot of pubs and bars and nightlife around. I had a great experience although I only stayed one night, and I met a lot of amazing people!

Normal room with little space. The door of the toilet is hard to open, and the carpet is dirty, as well as the sink. I would say it's just okay to stay in this hostel with this price.

When I arrived at this hostel there was no one there. Just a sign on the door saying 'back in 30 minutes'. While it was very cheap the common room and my own room were tiny and when I wanted to print out my boarding pass for my flight the next day, I found out that there was no printing service. The directions for the hostel on hostelworld were also basically useless.

The staff for this hostel are very nice and helpful, However the heating system dont work, rooms are very cold and freezing, glass windows dont close properly. toilet flush not working properly. The lights and switches dont work. Location wise very good just 5 min walk from station.
