Despite quite a negative first impression (one very unfriendly and unhelpful staff member - but the only one out of three other lovely ones), I enjoyed my stay in the hostel. Quite young atmosphere but with good facilities and lockers and storage rooms. Kitchen is very small but functional. One helpful improvemement would be to have a list of things going on day to day in Vienna.
perfect location, 2-minute walking from the station and very central , very nice staff. the breakfast was nice and cheap. all in all a perfect place to stay!

The room was clean and hostel well-located near a train station and metro stop. I got assigned the room right at the front of the building next to the main entrance and there were some chatty people outside at night despite the signs posted that ask people not to gather there after 10 pm. Interestingly, the primary perpetrator both nights was one of the very extroverted (and nice!) staff who should have been asking people to disperse instead of holding conversations outside our window.
We stayed in two hostels in Vienna Westend and Do Step Inn the second one was way way better, without much difference in price.
Recomandable place! Nice loaction and kind staff! Nothing much to say! Just book for it
It is a nice hostel, security was normal i felt safe. Little bit far from inner city but every hostel is like that. Really close to westbahnof and metro so yiu can go easily to inner city. Generally i enjoyed my stay j would recommend this place. Only down thing was that toilet at the room was not that nice but it could be my roommates' fault too.
Decent stay. Nice rooms. Small lounge. Close to train station but not city center. Value for money is good.
Very nice hostel! clean, good services, well conected by public service to everywere, nice staff and facilities. It has free wifi, big lockers and you can pay for aditional services such as laundry, towels, breakfast, etc.
Huge hostel, maybe a bit impersonal. good for people who just need to stay overnight and explore the city/catch their plane or train... overall not unpleasant but not the nicest I have ever visited. Breakfast in price is perfect!
Bit of a hike into town but nice place. No wifi in the rooms but other than that, great facilities! Very helpful and knowledgable staff as well
good location (reasonable walk to all the main attractions), friendly and helpful staff, facilities wise- had to sit in common room for wi-fi and no stove or oven in kitchen!
Best thing about Westend City: EXCELLENT staff across levels! Everyone I interacted with was very, very helpful, and cheerfully so. Very clean linen. The security aspect was a bit anxiety generating; this anxiety was alleviated by staff members who were alert and proactive in helping me be safe with my belongings. Can there could be any systemic change to make the place safer, which would also help staff members? (Sorry that I can't suggest anything concrete here).

This was a pleasant place to stay overall, although there are better hostels in Vienna for similar prices (Hostel Ruthensteiner). The free breakfast isn't really free and it's not great, but the location makes up for it. I would be happy to stay here again sometime. The staff was very accommodating and lenient (breakfast is sometimes free even if you don't book with free breakfast depending on who's working). The shower flooded, but I think that was just bad roommates. Regardless, all was well.
It's okay. Location is far from the centre, but on the plus side, the Habsburg palace is very close by so you can visit it early before everyone else does. Wifi only works in the common room.
In general this hostel is okay, but nothing more than that. It provides the essential with clean rooms, but there is nothing extra. The breakfast is a little light, especially considering it's not included in the basic price.

Staff was super helpful and really friendly, and there's a really great terrace. Only downside is that it isn't too central, but it's easy and quick to metro into town
They only accept cash, no credit cards. The staff were very short and uninterested in providing recommendations (restaurants, sights, etc).
Loud German tour group planning in my dorm at 7AM soured my experience.
The instruction of the location should be more details that shown at the website of Hostelworld. This helps guests find out the hostel more easy. There were very noise from 10pm to 1am because a group of people ( staff of hostel may be one or two of them ) talked loudly at the main entrance. I could not sleep well. I gave comment about it when I was checking out. The staff just said a party. I answered that I had stayed for three nights but very noisy every night. He didn't say any more.
