Pros: - clean hostel (well kept common areas, clean sheets & very clean toilets) - very close to the Westbahnhof, so it is convenient to get around the city - breakfast included (basic but decent) - friendly and knowledgeable staff Cons: - no towels (not even on rent), but you can buy towels if needed - rather dull lobby (but this may have been due to the particular set of people at that particular time) - no universal socket adaptors (you need to have your own) - no snacks vending machine

Westend city hostel is great and very clean! The location is super, next to the new Westbahnhof-station and Mariahilfestrasse with all the shops nearby. Breakfast was nice surprise, even though it was very simple. Hostel was also very quiet at this time (January) of the year. I would definiently stay again and recommend to everybody! Gives you a good value for the money.

Nice hostel, very close to the train station, but a bit of a walk from the major sights. Breakfast was pretty standard, with bread, jams, muesli, and coffee or tea. Common room was nice and big, but kitchen facilities available are a bit limited, with only water boiler and microwave for cooking. Wifi didn't work on the upper floors of the building. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It was great, but I didnt like that They kept my ID at the reception its a very negative impression.

Rooms are too small but toilet is clean. Breakfast is poor with not many food to choose.

Westend was easy to find thanks to the signs on the streets guiding us to the door. It was quiet though there were a lot of children in the place when we stayed there. THey also only have wifi in the common room which is a bit of a bummer but apart from that it was a good place to stay for the night.

Good value and great helpful staff, who let me check in early at 7am.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, told us where to go, and recommended where to get proper Austrian food. We had a mixed dorm for 8. It was clean and spacious. However, there were only two power sockets, located at the very far end of the room, I brought my own extension cords so it was not too much of a problem for me, but it is still clearly not enough for a room of 8. Soundproof was pretty bad as well.

I spent great time with you guys, though there is a lack of spirit and the atmosphere is pretty much lame, because the hostel is rather quiet and do not promote socializing in general. The fact that lift does not go after 10 p.m. is a big fault. Regarding to other technical aspects, it is a good place to stay due to the high level of cleanness and abundant and tasty breakfast and very kind stuff.

This hostel was fine, but do not buy the breakfast. It was so boring!

This hostel is pretty basic, not too bad because I was only staying one night. In a good location and seemed pretty safe. Although I was positive I had bought a female only room and found men in my room with me.....I got over that because it seemed pretty safe. I was pretty much fine with my experience until the next day....when i realized I had bug bites (I'm assuming flee bites) all over my legs, arms, shoulders, feet and hands. I was so grossed out. And stuck travelling, itchy. Not worth it.

The staff were quite rude, not all of them but a fair few of them were. the internet was bad and you couldnt get it in your rooms even though they told you that you could. good location you could walk everywhere very easily

Enjoyed my 4 night stay at Westend City Hostel. Because of its superb location, I was able to visit all the sites I had planned via walking, tram, or subway. Besides all the sites, I also found the hostel to be clean and the staff very helpful. The only part about my stay that would have made it even better would have been having WI-FI internet in the upper dormitory rooms. The internet works on the first floor, but after that...the connection is weak and/or not available.

We stayed at 3 hostels in Vienna all up throughout different stages in our trip. This hostel felt like a factory. Big and impersonal hostel. Some staff were nice enough but mostly rude and offhand. We booked a double bed room and got a 7 bed bunk dorm to ourselves instead. Very basic facilities that do the job if you literally only need a bed but is very poor value for money considering what you can get at other hostels in Vienna. Stay at mojo instead.

It was good, but they require an ID to give us the key of the room :( however I recommend it.

We have been in town all day and only came to the hostel to sleep - so that's fair enough. It's a very basic one, not a particularly nice athmosphere to hang around and meet people, but the location is good, very close to Bahnhof Westend and the staff is friendly. We skipped the breakfast after the first morning because it wasn't so good, limp bread rolls and cheap filter coffee. You can easily find something better in Vienna :-)
