The hostel is located in beautiful, laidback Scarborough, a half hour busride from the city and a 5 min walk from the beach. It's clean and friendly and often fully booked due to many backpackers on working holiday visas who stay for an extended period of time and who tend to act like they own the place. They put their stuff everywhere, the girls' dorm was a mess cuz they never cleaned up. Good business for the owners I'm sure, but not such a great experience for ordinary travellers.

This is a small and homely hostel and was kept very clean. The downside of this place is the location. If you have your own transport then it's not really an issue, but the bus trip takes roughly 45 minutes from the city, with the last bus at night being 12:08am. The last bus on a Sunday is (incredibly) at 7pm. Most of the residents have been there for months, and have sort of taken over the place as their own. Some of the residents were friendly whilst some not.

Great hostel. The atmosphere was laid back and the hosts(Brooke & Robin) very nice.

WBL is the first hostel i stayed in. Really good atmosphere, just a few minutes walk to the beach and the stuff is really friendly and helpful. I could definitely recommend staying here! :)
