We never ended up staying there after booking. we stayed with an old friend for two nights but we rang them shortly after but they said they never received the booking for one night, so dunno what happened there. its around the corner from the main beach rd which can be dangerous to swim in we are told, it rips you out to sea. Napier is a nice town like city with a good supermarket called 'pak and save' next to Shell, which is quite cheap buying the two or three for specials.
