Staff at this hostel were really friendly and welcoming, and I'd recommend staying here. There are no locks on the dorm room doors, so anyone could walk in, but there are lockers if you're worried about your stuff. All the bathrooms are downstairs, so it's a bit of a trek up and down the stairs, but otherwise a great stay. The guy who lives beside the hostel does airport pickups, and also drove me around sites in the countryside for about US$50 for the day. Would recommend him also.

It's a great hostel tucked away down a small alleyway in Central Tbilisi. Great dorms, common room area and clean sleeping quarter. There are new born kittens, so if you have allergies, maybe not the best place for you. Staff can be a bit unhelpful from time to time though, although they are very friendly.

A perfect hostel. Very relaxing and at the same time, lots of opportunities to get to know other backpackers. Not the place if you don't like cats though.

The hostel is very nice and offers a very comfortable zone to socialize and meet other travelers. The rooms are also very spacious and the beds comfortable. What makes this hostel outstanding is its dedicated staff which consists out of lovely and overwhelmingly friendly and helpful people who make this hostel one of the best I have seen so far (Europe, Asia & South America). The staff is renown and every traveler mentions the superb service of which is being offered in the "Why Not?" Hostel.

A hippish, community-like hostel with an artistic vibe. Recommended.

Nice old building, foot distance to Rustaveli Avenue, Freedom Square, Dry Bridge and some bars. Staff are a bit quiet, but they're very, very friendly! They give useful information and help whenever necessary. We hanged out there until 2AM the next night after we checked out, since our plane would be at 4AM. We were even invited to shower and have tea/coffee. The common area may be nice... or quiet... specially when the guests are all there just using the wifi, but I suppose that's common now..

Awesome everything, more like a community house than a hostel which brings you almost family relations with staff, and you can't stand still when you realize that hostel can offer you more u ever expected!

Incredibly kind staff. The better of the two hostels I stayed at in Tbilisi. I loved the open-air "loft" dorm.

Thanks to the staff at Why Not, they were fantastic. They are the best hosts, full stop, bar none! The hostel itself is average for the cost, needs some investment. Would recommend this to other potential guests.

Booked here specifically because they make a point of noting that they are LGBT-friendly. Just wanted to let staff know that this isn't going unappreciated!

This is a great hostel, good place for starting a trip round Georgia. Most flights arrive at Tbilisi airport very early in the morning, and they can sort you out with a taxi pick up. Good location just off Rustaveli. Has kitchen, and a fridge with beer in and a hostel cat. We were there in March, but I imagine it gets busy in the summer, so book early to avoid disappointment.
