This hostel is friendly with really good facilites... free internet/printing/washing etc. The downside is the rooms are very small and the windows do not open and have no curtains... so very hot and light early at this time of year! However we did mention that the room was hot to staff and they turned the heat down... would be really great if they could just replace the blinds with curtains tho :)

Stayed at 8 differnet hostels in North America. Both my traveling partner and I think this was the best of the lot. Helpful staff and great Facilities.

Other than a little mix up with my reservation when we got there, that was fixed very quickly, everything was great and would definitely recommend it to other people looking for a place to stay in Calgary

This hostel was amazing and had the best atmosphere! I loved how comfortable the staff made you feel and how close knit the place felt. I instantly felt at home at Wicked Calgary. That combined with the new facilities and the staff's knowledge of the area, made for a fabulous 5 day stay!

The rooms are incredibly crowded, very very small. Also, the blinds are really crappy and don't keep the light out, at night there was a street light just outside my room shinning directly into my eyes. it was horrible!

The room that we stayed in was tiny, had two bunk beds with no cupboards to store or lockup personal items. You were meant to walk around without your shoes on the dirty floors. People were sleeping in the common areas as they probably didn't have beds. There was 2 toilets and 3 showers per gender for the entire hostel that had baths mats that didn't at all seem clean. It was extremely loud a noisy.

Good atmosphere and location. My only gripe is that the hot water doesn't work that well.

I only stayed for 1 night on a stop over but all the same it seemed a freindly and good location for Calgary. Jeff was very freindly and certainly made me welcome on my arrival. Not a very big comunal space inside in the winter but certainly adequate in winter when outide is not an option. The only thing I would say is the price is a bit high for one night stay and early depart as I did.

Four words sums it up: dirty dirty dirty dirty. Paper thin walls and floorboards with an aroma of smelly feet. I would pay the extra money next time and book a double room from a hotel or nicer BP.
