bar staff does not speak Spanish, and the pool is smaller in real life than it appears in the pictures, but great and central place to hang out with good bar
A bit quieter than the Wild Rover in La Paz but that can be a good thing. Same high quality of facilities and standards as the other Wild Rovers. Was exactly what we needed for a short stay in Arequipa. All the tour agencies and town centre are located within a short walk.
This hostel is an ideal place to meet people and NOT an ideal place to sleep/relax undisturbed. The bar is great and the food is so-so. I especially was impressed with the security (they don't let strangers inside the door after 8pm), and it was also very convenient for me to use their storage room during my trip to cañon del colca. Although I believe most hostels in Arequipa have storage facilities for this purpose
The staff here are great. I found my self head over heels in love with one lovely lady's named Tess she is so sweet her eyes remind me of the sun setting over the ocean. I was heart broken when I had to leave the hostel..
Staff were not welcoming and didn't get people involved. Doors weren't locked so anyone could come into dorm. No kitchen, poor breakfast. Couldn't check in until 1, despite there being 4 free beds in my dorm. Showers were freezing or burning hot. Dorms and toilets were filthy. Only 1 socket in 20 person dorm.
Nice and and clean hostel with good staff
The Beds of Wild Rover Hostels are always great. The Wild Rover in Arequipa is smaller and a little more quiet than the one in La Paz, but it is a very nice place to stay visiting Arequipa. Breakfast is, like in La Paz, good!
It will be great if you have a kitchen for cooking...

Great food, helpful staff, clean facilities, and good location. Only thing that we didn't like was that people were allowed to smoke in the bar area.
This is the least good of the three Wild Rover hostels, but it is still a very good hostel, and it is probably that it is so new and needs more time. Compared to the average hostel it's great, but I can't help but to compare it to the other two Wild Rover hostels. The breakfast is the usual bread, coffee etc. The bathrooms are comunal, there are loads of them and they are absolutely spotless. The location is brilliant with nice views from the terrace. The staff are not as good as the other ones.
Nice play to stay, good beds, beers and fun! With a name like Wild Rover and the great reputation that it has, it should go one step further than the other hostels of Peru and South America, ditch the bread and jam for something more appealing as the free breakfast, a toaster, hard boiled eggs, cereals, juices etc. only a suggestion, not a negative comment! Stay here!
wifi works nowhere only in the area close to the recepion and even there you get disconnected every five minutes.....very annoying!!!! But Food is aweome there and staff is friendly :)
I had a great time at Wild Rover Arequipa. Beds were good and the bathrooms/facilities were always clean, as you would expect from their chain of hostels. The staff were always personable and friendly, particularly the bar manager Colin who made sure dietary requests were attended to. (I wanted chips instead of mash on the side.)

Know what you're getting into if you go to Wild Rover anywhere: a massive party. We thought we were party People, but even we couldn't do more than two nights. The bar is LOUD at night, so don't plan on getting much sleep, then we had people vomiting outside our room and couldn't use the bathroom at night because of people copulating in it. Staff at the bar very friendly. Reception staff variable, one made out with her boyfriend for like 10 minutes in full view of everyone. Wifi doesn't work.
Dorms were really spacious, party hostel, food was lovely, had a pool, great staff, i was a bit dubious at first as im 35 but loved every second definately give this a go, i was pleasantly suprised
Great hostal! Close to City Center (Plaza de Armas) and very nice building to relax after a tour (Bar, Pool)
Despite the parties offered by the hostel, the bedroooms were dirty and had no windows. Bath were not always hot, Staff seemed more interested in partying than helping. Would not go back there.
It was a decent hostel. Close to the main plaza and tourist bars. Breakfast was just bread and jam. Typical of these hostels which have their own bar and sell meals. Not really 'breakfast included'. There seemed to be locals/friends of the bar staff hanging out in the bar at night which I'm not a fan of. Showers had hot water. Wifi pretty slow. Overall it did the job for a few days but nothing to rave about.
Excellent location, close to shopping centres, the main plaza, and many good restaurants. Facilities were good but no hot water. Wifi only works well in the lobby or sitting by the pool. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
