We only stayed one night to party but the atmosphere was great and we got exactly what we was looking for, a party hostel with interesting people to meet. I would recommend solo and group travelers to stay at this hostel, if your looking for a good time and a party! If I'm ever in La Paz again I would stay more nights!
Paola at reception was very nice, bar is great, rooms are comfy, breakfast buffet and time is ok. Overall a great experience. Very social hostel.
If you're searching for a place to rest and sleep.. this is not the right place. This is the kind of hostel who organizes parties and events to gather people, to make people enjoy and have fun, so you won't sleep so much, it's really wild, but in positive way. Staff is amazing, prices reasonable, safe and clean. What else? ;)
The hostel and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff were friendly and fun. However, the bathrooms were small and hot water wasn't there almost all the nights I was there. Further, the door to my room did not close and it was quite noisy at night.
This is a party hostel, every night, no matter what. It can be a little overwhelming, but at the same time very easy to meet people and enjoy your time in Wild Rover, I mean La Paz. Down side is that the rooms become pretty messy with drunk/hungover people spreading their stuff everywhere. Great price, fun times, but don't stay more than a few days.
Very good hostel, close to the center ,with much thing to offer. The Wild Rover hostel in La Paz was the reason to chose this one
I liked a Wild Rover - being a big hostel it's very well run, with toilets and showers being constantly cleaned. However it is a party hostel - the bar is open very night til 2am and they have great parties. Just get a room in one of the quiet courtyards out back if you want to sleep! They can also arrange tours, bus tickets and death road for you!
This was a big hostel and very busy. We were only here for one night and were getting up early so didn't go to the bar but it was loud and sounded fun. There was a few in our dorm that had to get up early and were woken up at 2/3 in the morning by drunk people coming into our dorm. So not the best if you want to get plenty of sleep
Good party hostel, however useless hostel in terms of backpacking. Tour agency there were terrible telling us they booked a tour to uyuni with English speaking tour, the bus from the station left 2 hours later then the time they told us and the tour didnt have a single english speaking guide.DONT USE THE TOURISM PLACE IN THERE! Staff were very unhelpful,my girlfriend got robbed and we asked if we could use their phone to call our bank and they said no.no kitchen.clean bathrooms.
Definitely worth looking at if you want a party hostel, bar was packed every night I was there. And rooms are also clean, with a decent amount if showers etc. Cheap, and within walking distance of a number of la paz sights
This hostel is intented for young people with partying spirits. If you want to party and have a good time, this is it. If the purpose of the stay is to chill and relax, I would recommend another place. Facilities are very good and staf was always willing to help with my inquiries.
It's a party hostel, no mistake, and it does it very well. Great food, clean facilities (despite the best efforts of many of the guests), surprisingly peaceful rooms. If you want to get drunk and enjoy a party hostel atmosphere, you'll do little better than here. If you want a sedate experience, then you can probably guess that this may not be your ideal place.
A place which offers all you need - to the extent that you will need to be careful not to miss La Paz. Good food, a nice bar, very clean hygenic facilities and comfortable beds. It´s a party hostel though, so be ready to meet lots of foreign people very keen on drinking. If you want something more quite or local, look somewhere else.
Given the lack of things to do in La Paz, Wild Rovers hostel definitely makes itself a sanctuary for fun. The bar is popping all day long and it's very easy to meet fellow travelers (including plenty of Irish folks). Just be careful to not take too many free shots from the bartenders if you have an early morning the next day!
Ah, the Wild Rover. Maybe the most fun hostel in South America? The food is top notch, the bar is loads of fun, and the managers are great guys. Beds are comfortable, there are events to keep you entertained every evening, and the receptionists are helpful too. I had a far better time here in la Paz than when I moved to Loki, and will be straight back if I ever return to the city.
Great, place, lots of fun, nothing but good things to say.
Good location close to main avenue. Very helpful staff fluent in English. Overall good organisation. Clean bathrooms (cleaned every hour). They have a quiet area with rooms far from the bar tho guests are not really quiet in the area. Good breakfast and good pub food served at decent price.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. It's a great place if you want to get to know other travellers and to party, there are activities every night! Also the travel agency in the hostel was very helpful. The only thing we missed were plug sockets in our rooms.
Very good hostel. Great bar, on sight travel agent and allow you to start a tab and only pay on check out.
