This backpackers certainly has its very own style and atmosphere (the animals are a big plus) and the facilities are nice, but if you don't have a car you are kind of stuck there. Also, staff was sometimes quite grumpy and disorganised.

The owner is a very sweet lady who has had this place for decades and loves it. Her beautiful place is located in a beautiful spot around the mountains. However, the lodge's staff seems to be made up of volunteers who are working for a place to stay, so they know less than half what you ask them, and they forget to be of service, it feels like too much of a favor they "have to" do instead of a service. Not the friendliest staff you'll meet.

Awesome place in the national park, great surrounding. Staff are helpful with recommendation but slow and forgetful with basics like washing was left in machine. Great atmosphere. Wifi is really poor. Recommended

Location with the best atmosphere at our whole trip. The Lodge is situated in a secluded area in a beautiful forest where you can do a nice walk to a gorgeous waterfall. Breakfast is awesome, also the dinner is recommendable and its desert extraordinary. The best of the lodge is the whole vibe which made our stay unforgettable.

This is a relly cozy hostel. A great place to relax, enjoy the nature and rest. The staff was really helpfull, they have homemade dinners and great desserts at night. There's a little farm nearby where you can buy farm products for breakfast. There are also yoga lessons in the mornings. This place has a great energy! The dogs are so nice ^^ It's also near the Bloukrans Bridge, if you don't have a car you can ask the staff to get you there for a few rands..

I loved this place, very artistic and creative vibe, good tunes and views are amazing. I did realise after leaving, that I paid for 3 nights accommodation and my online booking deposit wasn't taken off the total cost which should ideally be highlighted when checking out. It was recognised when I arrived that I'd booked and paid online deposit but obviously I slipped the net, but no harm done, a simple mistake and it wouldn't put me off going back. I had a good time :-)

Disappointed. If you're driving the location, overlooking the forest, is great, but w/o is remote. Bed fine, decent amount of space, large kitchen, nice walks, nice outdoor area. Meals served looked interesting, tasty. But cleanliness is v. poor (mice in kitchen but staff didn't seem too bothered, felt like rooms not cleaned in ages) & feels like a place that used to be honestly hippy but is now a bit pretentious. No door keys, lockers. Nice to meet old hippies though and v friendly gentle dogs.
