I had a great time staying at the Willy Wallace! Who knew that staying in a hostel could be so much fun. The manager was truly the driving force of the atmosphere in this place. To be true, this is no luxury hotel, but it is a clean and safe place where you can unwind and have a good time in Stirling. - Moose and Beaver

No complaints! My friend may have contracted bed bugs there though...

Staff is very friendly, very nice hostel, suuuuuper close to the train station (definitely a plus) and to the main streets. You don't have to carry those key cards around, there is a code for the outside door and the bedroom door.

Bit of a weird hostel as it seems to be volunteer run. But people are friendly, female bathroom is really nice, good hot shower. No lockers in the rooms, only stairs to the rooms on the second floor, password lock entry into building and rooms. Good DVD collection and nice inviting lounge room. Location very close to train station which is handy. Stirling is pretty boring though, cool castle.

It was an amazing experience, Leon (the manager) was a very genuine and great guy. The rest of the staff was very helpful and homey as well. The hostel itself is very open and doesn't seem to converge when you open the door.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and you almost feel like part of family as soon as you arrive. Kitchen was well setup with plenty of bench space for more than one person to cook at the same time.

Big thanks to Andrew Best, owner and to Brian, staff, for their special efforts to make my stay comfortable. Perfect location, just a short two-minute walk from the bus and train station, and close to everything that matters (although almost everything matters in charming Stirling). The lounge is one of the most comfortable anywhere, with very high, Victorian ceilings and cushy sofas and lounges. One dorm room is having its bed lights replaced, so may seem dim for now. But, overall, it's great!
