The staff are nice, and the room is very clean and comfortable. Besides they give you a tea and biscuit in the room (it's a good gesture!). The breakfast was an complete irish breakfast, and give you more options. I think it's a very nice place.

Negative: Old windows, not winding proof, so I had to put pillow to avoid the wind entering in the room. Because is too old building, bad smell on toilets and the foor ranges while walking. Positive: The breakfast was very good!

The only problem is that there is no lifts, so you have a heavy case, you will have backache taking it upstairs.

great location, friendly staff, lovely clean room, great bar (the LV) downstarirs - live music and great craic! would definitely recommend to anyone planning on staying in cork. we only booked one night but we liked it so much we stayed for a second night (with the halp of the excellent staff). I guess the only drawback would be the music from the club a few doors down so I wouldn\'t bring young kids there! Overall, a fab weekend away!

the location was really good, walkable distance to all the sights, bus stops for airport express and the staff were really friendly. even though i had to leave at 5am in the morning, the guy over the counter kindly provided breakfast (even though the signs said 8-10am) only thing was the noise from the bar, even at 4am! and the hot water takes 5 mins to heat up. but great! i will definitely stay there again.

The hostel is located very close to the city. It has an own pub with live music in the evenings and always good ambience. Also there are a lot of restaurants in the same street. The furniture is mixed, but has its own charm. Every room looks different. The breakfast is included, diversified and tastes very good! The staff was friendly and helpful. Next time in Cork, we\'ll stay there again!

The location is fine, but we got too much noise in our room from the nearby bar. Plus the occasional drunk howling on the nearby road. So it was a sleepless night ! Parking is a hassle as well. The staff were very friendly and breakfast excellent !

Pros:excellent Irish breakfast with meat free alternatives for vegetarians, located just 5 minutes walk from Parnell Place bus station. Staff is polite. Cons:old, shabby, not very clean. Staff is unprofessional. Before I checked-in the hostel pre-authorised money on my credit card, at check-in they took cash not mentioning the pre-authorisation, when I asked to return cash and process my card they agreed but charged money in separate transaction so the double on my card amount was blocked.
