The location ist very loud, because every night in front of the hostel there is a meeting point for partying - about 100-150 people every night until early in the morning. Unable to sleep even if the windows are shut. I think this should be mentioned in the description of the location. At night the staff didnt allow us to sit in the living room ("It's closed") which is very unusual for a hostel.

I spent a very pleasant time, everybody was nice and the building is charming and comfortable. Right in the city centre, near all the important points of interest.

I have been sleeping at Porto Wine Hostel twice now, The second time, i was less satisfied- There was no hot water at my floor, I couldn't connect to the internet and the DVD player was broken. The breakfast had to be payed aditionally which wasn't the case on my first stay in 2011. Nonetheless , it's a central hostal with a very friendly ambient.

It seems like there is only one toilet and only one shower for the two biggest rooms to share. If I was there during high season, this could have been a big problem.

A wonderful place to stay for only ten euros per night. Room are cleaned everyday, facilities are new, and staff is very helpful (Marco is the best!!). If I can, I will be back.

The bathroom's lock was broken and the ground was always flooded. They should remove the bath tube and put 2 showers instead.

The bathroom was very unconrfotable: it was cold and wet (seemed that the rain was inside the window and not outside). Maybe if you install a heater in te bathroom it will get better. Please consider increasing the capacity of the hot water.

Great hostel. But... I just don't understand why we can't stay in the living room after midnight. The breakfast is not so good. the hostel is nice anyway.
