Pros: Rooms & bedding clean; Groovy bar; Reception staff are very very helpful; Room was spacious; Walking tour is awesome Cons: Directions from airport are impossible - it is much easier then you make it sound!; No wifi in rooms is a bit lame; Breakfast is expensive; Only one powerplug for four people is a bit tricky at times; No shelf above bed, though individual lights are useful and appreciated. No reason to avoid. Would stay again, but other Wombats is closer to the metro.

Excellent overall value for money. The hostel was very clean and in good general condition. The private en-suite rooms were close to hotel level. Staff were helpful and we got our room straight away even though we arrived before the official check-in. Also the breakfast offered good value for money. Downsides were a bad double bed (bended uncomfortably in the middle) and that the wi-fi is only in the lobby, and it can become extremely slow when there's a lot of people using it.

Nice hostel, right at the shopping street, not far from Westbahnhof, but not within easy walking distance of the major sights. Chose this location because I was merely staying overnight. Liked the character a lot (bar on the ground floor) & the voucher I got for a free drink. Wifi only on the ground floor, too little space (seating) there. Facilities were excellent - stayed in a 4-bedroom dorm with a private bathroom! A little noisy at night, but quite good for the price. Would stay again.

Wombat is impressively clean. They give a very clean & has-just-washed bed linen which makes me and my friends really satisfied. The bathroom is really clean and they clean it daily. The disadvantage is to go to the hostel weneed to walk for about 10 minutes from the main road, but it's not a big problem if you're kind of people who love cleanliness.

I would definitely recommend this hostel. Very clean, very safe, with comfortable beds. It is indeed a little sterile and impersonal (more like a hotel than a hostel), but the Wombar makes up for that to a degree, we had a ton of fun there!

Great hostel, they offer a really good and cheap breakfast and the rooms are big and clean. The train station is just a short walk away. The only drawback is, that they don't have a guestkitchen.

I thought that this Wombats hostel was really nice. The staff were all very helpful, especially one man (who's name I don't remember but had long blondish hair) who gave us excellent advice on some less visited areas of the city. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The only small inconveniences were the location, which was about an hour walk to the center and that there wasn't much of a place to prepare your own meal. But overall I would very much recommend this hostel!

Excellent value for money between Christmas and new year period. The two other wombats hostels in vienna are better located and more modern, but if you are after a cheap bed then the lounge is more than sufficient. There were some issues with the wifi connectivity, but staff were helpful in trying to resolve this.

Nice enough place, a bit far from the center but less than 10 min walk from subway station. Wifi is slow and spotty. Staff very nice and helpful. Not a place will remember, but nice value for money.

We enjoyed out stay at this hostel. Clean linens and lockers were good. The breakfast they offered was cheap and yummy. We liked that we could stay in the hostel and enjoy a few beers after a long day of siteseeing. The internet only worked sometimes, mostly because of the mass amount of people trying to use it at once. All in all, we would stay here again.
