Convenient location right by the train station. Easy to get into central Vienna with metro in just minutes. Friendly, helpful staff. smooth check-in. Wifi was not the best (very slow at times and did not work in my room). Nice to have a kitchen to cook your own food. Bar area is a great place to meet other travelers when there are no live bands (awful heavy metal bands on one of my nights). Room was very hot (no A/c and top bunks could not benefit from the fan on the ground).

The hostel is cool, with a excellent atmosphere. But, don't ask the girl of the kitchen where pick up the cup for take coffee, because she is furious.

One member of staff was very rude when she came into our room and wasn't listening to us.

Situated as close to Westbanhof as you could want, it's easy access to the hostel but the centre is a few minute walk away. Friendly check in, but the welcome beer was tiny. Decent kitchen and bar had a good atmosphere with good happy hour deals, but rooms were basic with temperamental lockers; while the rooms were poorly ventilated and air conditioned so had a pretty poor nights sleep.

A fine place to stay - very hotel like - not very close to the city center

As we already know the quality of wombat hostels are very good! Location very close to 2 metro lines and tram. Full available kitchen and microwave. WiFi works everywhere. I'm on the 4 bed room and it's very spacious. Environment very good, lots of people to meet. If you're a people person, just go to the lounge or the bar. but it doesn't make noisy sound. My room still very quiet, so it's perfect for everybody.

Good space in good location. But you will need to pay an additional value for facilities like computer and breakfast.

This was about as good as a hostel can get. Convenient location, friendly staff, 24 hour reception, nice rooms and kitchen. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth the 4 euros, really nice. Highly recommended.

Overall good hostel! It's in the middle of the two things you want to see (the palace and the city center) and very close to the train station. Bathroom was pretty clean as well. The hangout room was really great with lots of seats and a huge pillow area!

The hostel was a little outside of the main part of Vienna, but really close to a tram stop, so it was easy to get around. The rooms were pretty nice, and we loved hanging out in the downstairs area. The staff at the front desk were incredibly nice and helpful and gave us suggestions of what to do and how to get there. Definitely recommend this hostel!

It was not so clean. It is too hot to stay there in the summer season.

Hey there, thanx for your feedback and sorry that you had a bad experience in our hostel. As it's summer and air conditions are not common in Hostels in Austria, it might happen that it's going to be hot ;) I'm very sorry that you also had the feeling that it was not too clean - we're constantly working on improving our cleanliness and thanx to your feedback are able to do so even better :)! See you next time hopefully, Kerstin

Very close to the main train station. It is a bit of a walk to the museum quarter and the more upmarket end of town but it is also we'll served by tram and underground lines. It is also on a great long shop street catering for all tastes and budgets. Only two stops on the U-BAhn to the Schonnenbrunner Palace. Huge canteen area for eating or just hanging out. Kids was pretty good. Good kitchen facilities, very spacious dorms with lieu card secure lockers, nice decor. Staff were warm and helpful.
