Great breakfast for 4 euros. The most social place is the bar downstairs. Rooms were pretty basic but overall decent hostel.

Good hostel, really close to the main train station. Bit relaxed on front door security but room security is great! A little dated but still a great hostel

Cute guys at the reception ;)

Great place if you want to meet people and the staff are really helpful for anything you need! Would definitely go back! :)

Everything about Wombats was perfect... The Lounge is just a block away from the train station so this was quite convenient for us and downtown Vienna is quite easy to reach by metro in just a few minutes.

Friend was having an asthma attack fairly late at night, and receptionist made sure to find us an open pharmacy, as well as offered to call ambulance. They were also able to advise us in some great spots to go.

Really helpful staff, they posted the postcards we forgot to pack and even put foreign stamps on! This hostel was quite far out of vienna so going out was expensive but great hostel really big so easy to meet people. Major downside was the heat inside it was about 4000 degrees in the rooms despite a fan.

Hey! thanx for your feedback! Actually the location is pretty central ;) you cross the street and are on the longest shopping street in Vienna - in the side streets are million of coffee shops/restaurants etc....It's maybe 20 minutes walk straight down to 1st district which is not really/the only centre of Vienna! Sorry that you had one of these hot summer nights -as it's usually not VERY VERY hot in Vienna ACs are not very common :/! Hope to see you next time, Kerstin

Great location next to Westbahnhof; 2 minutes' walk. Good stroll down Mariahilfer Straße to the Museum Quarter and city, past breakfast cafes and shops. Pretty hot in the rooms on a humid summer night, so maybe some extra fans would help.

We had a great stay in Vienna! The staff here was friendly and the facilities were nice. We had a problem with our shower drain, but they worked on it after our second night there (we stayed for three nights). Easy to find from metro stop and easy to get around. Would stay here again!

Convenient location right by the train station. Easy to get into central Vienna with metro in just minutes. Friendly, helpful staff. smooth check-in. Wifi was not the best (very slow at times and did not work in my room). Nice to have a kitchen to cook your own food. Bar area is a great place to meet other travelers when there are no live bands (awful heavy metal bands on one of my nights). Room was very hot (no A/c and top bunks could not benefit from the fan on the ground).

The experience was nice - the location was good as it was close to the Hauptbahnhof train station. The staff were extremely friendly and helped us out with the maps and directions of places to visit. Only recommendation is there should be some cooling arrangement during the summer months- a single fan in a 8 room dorm is not enough, although I was given an additional fan on request but it was an exception.

I felt for what I paid for a single room I should at least have air con and not just a noisy fan that hardly reached my bed. Very basic bland room. Staff were nice and helpful, lacked a great vibe though, kitchen basic

The hostel is cool, with a excellent atmosphere. But, don't ask the girl of the kitchen where pick up the cup for take coffee, because she is furious.

The staff were lovely and friendly! Loved the big bed in the lounge to have a nap after checkout :)

Friendly and helpful staff. Bar and breakfast on premises was convenient. Layout of hostel and presentation encouaged interaction.

Situated as close to Westbanhof as you could want, it's easy access to the hostel but the centre is a few minute walk away. Friendly check in, but the welcome beer was tiny. Decent kitchen and bar had a good atmosphere with good happy hour deals, but rooms were basic with temperamental lockers; while the rooms were poorly ventilated and air conditioned so had a pretty poor nights sleep.

A fine place to stay - very hotel like - not very close to the city center

As we already know the quality of wombat hostels are very good! Location very close to 2 metro lines and tram. Full available kitchen and microwave. WiFi works everywhere. I'm on the 4 bed room and it's very spacious. Environment very good, lots of people to meet. If you're a people person, just go to the lounge or the bar. but it doesn't make noisy sound. My room still very quiet, so it's perfect for everybody.

Good space in good location. But you will need to pay an additional value for facilities like computer and breakfast.

Nice place, I had a great time and the atmosphere is great!
