Wombats City Hostel Vienna - The Lounge Reviews

Very handy location and extremely friendly staff, who even gave me a leftover semmel for a late-night snack!

It is a good choice for those who expect much fun in a hostel, but not so suitable for those prefer quiet atmosphere like me. I was waked by excited guys shouting in the corridor at about 3 am for more than once--really disturbing! There is only WIFI on the ground floor, but it is noisy because of the bar. It is a convenient hostel. However, personally I don't like it.

Nice hostel with nice staff.

I found this hostel defininetly good. exellent service and nice people. But in the kitchen there is not that much things like plates or cups or something else if you want to cook by yourself.

Very poor security!! Our room was robbed by a guy that had robbed another room the day before and then was placed next to our room.

Everyone at Wombats was so friendly and super helpful. Located near the Underground, which was easy to use. The hostel bar was also very fun, great place to pre-game or even stay there all night. When there's a Wombats as an option, take it.

First time in a Wombat hostel, and wish there were mOre around the world! Stayed in a double private room and was really impressed with the cleanliness of the room (seemed like a new room?). Staff were super helpful with suggesting touristy places visit & transport options. Loved the bar downstairs- great atmosphere, and very cheap drinks and food!

It's a great hostel; very clean, has everything you need and great staff. Perfect if you're travelling in a group, but if you are travelling solo like myself, it can be a little tricky to meet people/make friends. The hostel is so huge so there's not really any cosy common room to get to know people. Unless you want to go down to the bar and get drunk. But it's a little hard to keep this up every night. So if travelling solo, I would say look elsewhere!

This hostel was excellent...the beds were nice, the sheets and towels were free, the staff was SUPER friendly, and the bar downstairs offered inexpensive booze and cheap food. The location was quite good...next to the Westbanhof station. It's literally like 2 minutes into the ring and there's an airport shuttle that drops off like every thirty minutes. All in all, I had a fantastic experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Very big hostel. Does tend to get super crowded. However, the location is great and the dorm rooms are very clean and convenient.

Excellent Hostel! Right next to the train station, so a bit farther away from the city center, but the main city is easily reached with a U-bahn. Very clean and excellently priced. Staff was great and breakfast had a nice variety for the 3.80 buffet. Highly recommended!

Wonderful! I had only heard good things about Wombats, and they were all true! Facilities were wonderful, and every room had their own bath. Breakfast for 3,80 euros, and a luggage room. WiFi only in the lobby, but I knew that going in. What was very helpful was the books they had behind the desk that you were able to check-out during your stay there. Awesome!
