Excellent hostel. Staff were all so lovely and helpful. All the amenities you need, highly recommended.
Positives: Nice location (U-Bahn nearby); Clean; Nice bar in the basement; nice common areas; working wifi; the buffet breakfast is so-so. Negatives: The kitchen is not available to the paying guests. Other: -
Very very helpful and friendly staff, always ready to show good things about the city!!! Definitely would go back!!! Thanks guys for my stay there, hope see you soon!!
A colourful and vibrant hostel, with helpful and friendly staff and plenty of facilities (they even have a guest shower for people like us who arrived early morning off night trains etc). Great buffet breakfast for about 3 euro, and a pretty cool basement bar. Not the most central location, but Vienna is enormous and its a short metro ride into the city centre. Supermarket nearby as well as restaurants etc. Clean dorms and plenty of common areas. A safe booking.
We had a great time staying at this hostel. Amazing place, very nice and clean, great location and very very nice staff. I would definitely recomend this place since I have never stayed in a hostel. So far I have stayed at many hotels in Europe and North America and even though this is a hostel it is great place. Thank you staff and if I come back again in Vienna I am definitely staying at Wombats.

We loved Wombats. We booked Vienna because we had such a great time at the Wombats in Berlin, and The lounge did not disappoint. Great staff, great atmosphere. We especially liked page we got when we checked in that gave suggestions of 3 different tourist days to do while staying in Vienna. It was really helpful
location is wonderful if you move to another city and country by train or buy something at supermarket late evening. some noise outside room (corridor), TINY kitchen. but overall GOOD. :)
The bar never really filled out, but you get a free drink and the prices were good with offers on cocktails. Everything else was good - kitchen worked, has free pasta, located right next to the WestBahnhof train station, laundry was nice and easy, all good.
The hostel was great! The staff, food, cleanliness, everything! And it's 2 minutes away from the Westbahnhof, which is why I chose it in the first place. I had another problem, unrelated to the hostel, but it can show that no matter how much you pay, you end up with all sorts of people. I was alone, and my roommate was one weird guy from Italy. I felt very insecure around him. I thought I wouldn't sleep for a second that night. Luckily, two other roommates came in the evening, so I was relieved.
Strategically located next to westbahnhof station (a main transport hub) with plenty of inexpensive food and drink nearby. You can walk down the main shopping drag into town in about 20-30 mins or take the u-bahn or trams which are super efficient. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is social and relaxed. They also have a bar which is a good way to meet fellow travelers!
Great location within easy walk of everything worth visiting, staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and spacious with very good adjoining bathrooms. The basement bar is especially good with good atmosphere and regular happy hour deals. An overall great stay for your trip to Vienna
This hostel was great and managed to balance being a chain hostel with lots of rooms, with the same sort of personal touch that many of the smaller hostels we have visited are known for. the rooms were very clean and spacious and the price was spot on! The hostel had an excellent bar and although breakfast wasn't included in the price, it was very reasonable and there was a great variety. The location was great, just outside the main station and the metro links were ideal. Fantastic stay! Thanks
there was a bit of confusion at the front desk at first. somehow my booking was mixed and they booked us in a six bed room although i had booked a double bed room at first. they offered a room at wombats "the base" just a few minutes away (walking distance). staff was incredibly friendly. we got free breakfast for the confusion with the booking. amazing place to spend the night and run into people all across the globe. the hostel two bed room was better than the average *** hotel room for 28€!

This hostel is right beside the westbahnhof but is a bit of a walk in to the main centre. The wombar was a great place for meeting people and the lounge area was great for chilling out. It wasn't as impersonal as other big hostels I've been in. I'd stay there again.
Very good location, very quiet for family but also suit young adults thanks to the bar! Great atmosphere and staff!
This is a good hostel for a few reasons. It is extremely close to the westbanhof train station so if you arrive by train its easy. It has a cheap bar downstairs, though this doesnt have AC so can be very hot in summer. It has a good breakfast for 4 euro and decent rooms
Location was excellent since it's quite close to Westbahnhof station. Unfortunately the room I stayed was extremely sticky and "stinky".
A really good hostel with great staff and different offers for their guests.
We stayed in a double room and we think it would be very nice to have a few hooks in the bathroom to hang the towels and a shower mat would also be' useful.. Apart from that it was all good :-)
