This hostel was not worth the positive reviews. The rooms were so extremely warm that people were purchasing fans to put in their rooms. Overall, the atmosphere in the bar/lounge was weak - full of groups of people unwilling to navigate outside of their entourage. Overall, the showers were decent and the breakfast was quite good as well - meat, cheese, bread, yogurt, fruit, and cereal.

A really fun hostel for those who want to meet other travelers and its great location. The staff is really nice and there is a good free walking tour...

they gave a great setup here. the bar is alright to grab a few drinks but its better to go out afterwards. nice little common area with hammocks and bean bag chairs. the staff are fantastic people!

My only complaint is with the first guy that we spoke too at reception, he was very short with us and rude when we asked about showers. It was very early in the morning and I hope he just had an off morning because he warmed up as the day went on and we had no other problems. We had a great time in Munich and met some really great people at the Wombat. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE the FREE TOUR with AUSSIE!!! It was the best Tour we went on our entire trip!!

This is a great hostel in many ways - it's secure, in a good location and is generally clean - but I just didn't enjoy my stay here due to the sort of guests it attracts. It is 90% North American college kids and it just makes for a loud and annoying stay. The hostel can't help the crowd it attracts of course, but it is a part of the experience of staying there and I personally found the atmosphere at Jaeger's (on the same street) a lot more relaxed, mature and enjoyable.

SIMPLY THE BEST HOSTEL IN THE WORLD ! loved every minute.. clean, great location, the bar is awesome and cheap also. I would definetly recomend it.

The only negative thing I could say about the hostel is the poor quality of the internet (impossible to open certain software) and its price. I think it should be included in the booking price.

Wombats was a lot of fun, with some great people to meet. The staff was helpful when it came to directions and questions, plus the breakfast was really good. I would stay in wombats again! Don't stay here if you don't like to have a good time!
