Very nice hostel but it could be closer to the middle of the city. The neighborhood is nice but its not very lively and its quite a hike to any type of fun. The rooftop bar is a great place to watch a game (the Eurocup was great there).

My family (ages 2- 63) stayed at Wombat's and had a wonderful time. Wombar was in full swing, but the sleeping kids weren't disturbed at all! A great hostel for all ages. Thanks!

Slightly expensive, but very very modern clean and a good atmosphere, if you can afford it well worth it.

one of the best hostels i've stayed at in europe. the rooms are clean and you get free luggage storage. the bar upstairs has great views and cheap drinks and the staff were really helpful.

very clean, nice, professional hostel. no problems whatsoever. lacks some of the personality and charm of some of the smaller, family-run places on hostelworld, but makes up for it by giving you none of the problems that often come along with the smaller places. rooftop bar is very fun, with a great view, and great for meeting people.

Absolutely fantastic hostel! The atmosphere is unbeatable. We met people elsewhere that were actually canceling their reservations to get on the waitlist for the Wombat! The bar on the seventh floor is a great place to meet people and has a beautiful terrace where two of the bartenders serve hotdogs and hamburgers nightly. If you get a chance, chat it up with them... they are hysterical and very knowledgeable about the area. The hostel is also very secure, requiring guests to use their keys to access the dormitories and rooms. Each person is also allotted a large locker (big enough for a big backpack). The rooms are big, airy, clean, and look as though they were taken straight out of an IKEA catolog. The bar, being seperated by a floor from the dormitories, makes the rooms quiet and very livable at night. The Wombat is also connected with the free Berlin tours and pub crawls which are a total must. Look no further... you have found your hostel!
