The staff were nice and helpful. They seemed like they actually wanted to help us plan things to do instead of just taking our money. The room was clean but there was no toilet paper.

From the moment we arrived we were taken excellent care of in wood castle. The room was immaculate, the bathroom was fantastic, breakfast was delicious and the staff were really friendly and helpful. A particular thank you to Hassan for taking us out in his own time to the local markets and resteraunts and helping us to get aquainted with India. If you are happy to pay a little bit more to ensure a safe, hassle free, clean base in Delhi then wood castle is definately the place to stay!

Everything is ok. Food is good, staff is very friendly and rooms are perfect. You even have hot water, smething that is not very common in Inida hostels, and sheets and towels are clean. If you needed a car they would provide you one. Location is good, near the train station... and the only negative point is that the street was under construction (April 2012) and so it was a mess outside, but they have told me it is going to be renewed very soon.

I stayed twice at this Hotel while in Delhi, the staff made staying at this Hotel feel like you were with family, on Holi festival day, they cooked dinner for all the people staying with them. The staff were very helpful with advice, and wrote things in Hindi so drivers understood what you wanted. They even walked me with my suitcase to my next Hotel. I researched before my trip, and saw that sometimes a friendly face is far more precious than a fancy room.

Location: The Hotel is close to a Metro station, within footwalking distance. However it is hard to find and even some Taxi drivers have difficulties finding it. A good description on hostelworld or prior to arrival would certainly help. Facilities are all well kept and functioning. I think for indian standard it is above average. For western standards there is a few minor things that keep me from giving the "excellent" - e.g. hot water needs to be heated, prior to usage.

What a beautiful place in Delhi! This was by far the nicest place we stayed in India...and not the most expensive place either. The restaurant served amazing food too. Super convenient to the airport and about a 20 minute rickshaw drive from major sites, but also close to the metro station. The Karol Bagh Market was a great area to buy souveniers. Tried the market close to Red Fort first, but found it to be too large and spread out. Would definitely stay here again!

You cannot fault this accommodation for anything. When we arrived we were delighted as the room was gorgeous, the reception was great and we had everything we needed and more. Even a great room service menu in case u arrive late and don't fancy heading out in the dark. Central location, and as two girls traveling alone we felt very safe.

With a good map it was easy to find although the location is somewhat daunting at first sight. This is a very friendly hotel, the management and staff were at all times helpful and welcoming. Most impressive was the overall cleanliness, with towels, soap, shampoo etc all provided. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean too. Food service was a little slow but then it was Hoil and was not a major problem. This proved to be a very good and value for money hotel in the heart of Delhi.

Excellent hotel - location not central, but close to the metro. We also used the travel agent in the hotel, who arranged an excellent driver (ask for Jai Singh) and hotels in Rajastan for us.

This hostel is a good deal if you do not want to stay in the busy inner area of Dehli. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. If you book let them know, that you want a room with window, there are three rooms without... unfortunatelly there is no outside area where you can seat and relax. The lobby, main area is underground. For shure a good option. Take a metro pass / the sation is only five minutes walk away!

The Wood Castle Hotel and its staff is fantastic. I went to India the first time they made my stay a pleasurable one. The staff was also very helpful in arranging drivers who took me around in New Delhi as well as to the Taj Mahal. It has been a great experience, thanks again! I do recommend this hotel!!!
