That staff (a guy) is very nice and helpful. I also like the friendly atmosphere in the hostel that there are activities, parties information posted on the board and the hostel holds its own party, and it is a pity that i only stayed for a night and could not join. There are plenty of TV games to play though i did not have the time to play. But the pillows are not very clear and torn out so i think it is a good idea to purchase new ones.

Its a cool hostel, the kitchen could be bigger but there's not. Much they can do about that. Friendly staff, they have good deals worked out with local establishments, I have extended my stay. Its in a good position for the library and museums on the south bank and the lagoon, its about 10 to 15 mins from Queen street (the central shops). Walking to and from the library and then town and back in a day adds up. Its really close to the transit station (where you arrive by grey hound)

Very small common room combined with the dining room, not even enough chairs/sofas for everyone to sit. When we had a bbq on the back yard, it was raining and the roof had a leak, so you had to watch out not to get wet. It was raining and storming non stop in Brisbane, and you couldn't even shut the windows properly in our room, so you can only imagine.... Yup -it rained inside. Water damage anyone? You had to pay for the Internet -please, it's 2013!

The location of this hostel is great, the atmosphere very familiar and friendly. However, they should fix the showers, the water pressure is very low, and the shower curtains are dirty, they should be replaced. If you are staying in a room next to Roma Street, it can be difficult to sleep due to traffic and sirens (nearby hospital).
