Best reception lady ever!!! She is the absolute best, and extremely friendly. Helped us out with directions, recommendations, Awesome location, close to everything. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was delicious.

Very good location, friendly staff and decent place to stay all right. I think it was over-priced in comparison to the hostels I have stayed with earlier. They need to be better organized about the airport pick up services they offer - I booked one, spoke to them a couple of times and finally there was no pick up.

Great hostel, supportive staff, clean rooms, good breakfast. It was a bit difficult to find the place but once we figured it out everything was good. If you are on a drinking spree in Istanbul, you better book this place as it right in the middle of the booze paradise.

It was quite loud because of that construction site right next to the hostel.. but that's not your fault I guess :)

The hostel's ratings don't really match the hostel. Almost every bathroom was broken in some way, the toilet seat covers that were supposed to be hygenic were never functioning properly, the construction nearby was VERY loud, and ya overall, it was just so-so. The common area was nice, but at night, you are constantly told to be quiet. The breakfast was traditional turkish and good and most of the staff was really nice. We also met some great new friends and had a fun time.

Great for getting around and acclimatising yourself to the city, simple but clean rooms, lovely hot showers, simple but sufficient breakfast: all in all a nice place to stay! 2 things, before you book make sure the construction work next door has finished. From 8am - 10pm there was hammering right through the wall...not even supermans earplugs could have made him sleep. The real highlight is the staff...THEY MAKE THIS PLACE FRIENDLY AND LOVELY AND WARM AND WELCOMING...simply amazing!!

The staff was great, very positive and willing to help at any time:) The location is even better, very near to Galata Tower and in the street where you can get everything you need... In the hostel there is also a very nice coffe bar where you can drink your morning coffee while listening to great music:)

Great location near the Galata Tower. Decent breakfast. Staff was hit-or-miss though. Rooms were clean, but had a bit of street noise coming through.

I had a very pleasant stay and may wind up staying there again. The location is perfect, and the price is right. Everything was as-advertised, and I didn't encounter any issues. Plentiful breakfast, too.

Great location for a hostel, between the old city and new. Wifi didn't reach the rooms upstairs and some of the staff were unfriendly and unknowledgeable. Breakfast was great. Overall decent stay!

Staff was great. I liked having codes for the doors instead of a key that could be lost. The breakfast was good. The wifi wasnt always great during my stay but it worked when I needed it. Some showers had warmer water than others.

World House Istanbul is a more than cozy hostel in the heart of Galata disctrict, located between the bustling inner city around Istiklal and the historic sights around Sultanahmet. There's always someone hanging around in the lobby, the staff is super-helpful and has encyclopedic knowledge about all corners of the city. Rooms are tidy, interior seems to be quite new. Turkish-style breakfast which is included is definitely a perfect start for a day Istanbul. Try the home-made quince jam!
