You should clean the rooms, wash the towels, do something against the mould in your rooms and be more straight!

I've stayed here a few times and it is always great! The smaller dorms and private rooms are a lot more comfortable and less noisy than the big dorm room. The staff are really helpful, and the location is perfect.

Well, we chose World House mostly because of its location.. We had seen it from outside last year adn we thought it should have a character as well.. After our stay there I could say that its only advantadge is its superb location.. (it's near everything, basically) As for the rooms, nothing special, not even pleasant.. It's clean enough, breakfast is bearable.. the staff is very friendly but inadequate.. And of course with the money we payed we could have found something better..

I was with two friends.. and because the dormitory room with all people inside was overcrowded and the people living inside didn't take care about cleanliness (ie the didn't want to open the windows to have fresh air).. the stuff provide us another room, with less people and with the same booking price. Also the stuff offered us extra breakfast the day we arrived, before cheking in. I highly recommend this hostel.

this hostel is in the galata district, halfway up the hill to tunel. well located. free wifi, but computers are not free. the common areas are nice and provide for a good deal of interaction with other travellers. i only stayed one night. if you're only interested in sightseeing, you might be better off staying in sultanhamet, but if you're looking to stay in a non-tourist neighborhood, you could do worse than here.

Awesome location and price. The beds and rooms are comfortable. The staff are both friendly and helpful when called upon but I wouldn't exactly call them "cool", they kind of just go through the motions. Breakfast is a basic Turkish one. Considering they let you bring in your own food and alcohol (bonus!) and the great location near Istikal they should really do something to liven the atmosphere. The hangout area just feels like a hotel lobby.

Very cozy hostel. Friendly staff, they all speak english and are very willing to help you! The location is also ideal. Close to Taxim and the Old city, you can practically walk anywhere!! I felt like it was my home, I would certainly go back!

This is one of the cleanest and most secure hostels i have ever been too. To get into the hostel you need to know a code for the door and than each room has their own code system for the doors. The toilet seats also have a built in hi tech plastic cover that switches to a new cover every time a new person uses the toilet.

The hostel is in a good location. We were upgraded to a loft which was very nice. Breakfast is tasty, typical Turkish style.

I've been in several others hostel around europe and I can say that World House Istanbul is one of the best. I will definetively recommend this hostel to everybody. The atmosphere in the hostel is relaxed and tha staff is always nice and ready to help you. Moreover it's really clean, especially the bathrooms. To conclude it's situated in the district of Beyuoglu, that is full of restaurants and places were to eat and drink in the night. I really liked staying in World House Istanbul!

Staff was very friendly, and they had lockers in each room and in some of the hall ways which is great. Hostel is situated in central Beyoglu, close to the famous Istiklal promenade which is party central. My only complain is that they didn't have a posting board for fellow travelers to connect. I was traveling on my own and was hoping to meet and hangout with other travelers but it wasn't that easy in this hostel. Other than that, I recommend this hostel for sure.
