Very nice and friendly staff. The place kind of felt dirty all the time. It is a good hostel if you are into the party scene but not if you just want somewhere to sleep and store your stuff. They did have a storage room though which was nice.
GOOD - Most helpful guy at the counter, free welcome drink, 24h reception desk, nice and specious double room. Central, budget. NOT GOOD - voices of people sitting in the inner yard are heard in the room even with windows closed. The kitchen seams to have everything, but old and sticky, with tiny half broken fridge with no free space. Shower in a double room is for people 1.65-1,70m max, otherwise you have to stand bent.
Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, great rooms. This will be my first choice if I visit Bucharest again.
This was a great hostel, they had a really nice bar downstairs which lots of games. Close to the old town for night clubs, bars & restaraunts.
The hostel is in a great location, 5 mins from the heart of old town. The atmosphere is always lively, making it easy to meet other guests, especially in the bar and terrace. The facilities are good, cheap laundry, large bathrooms with lots of showers and hot water.
Great place to meet other cool people. Staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking to party, this is the place to go to.
The staff at X Hostel were excellent, helping to create a great community atmosphere. I went on the pub crawl with the hostel and it was an awesome way to meet more guests and get to make friends with staff too. X Hostel helped me to make beautiful memories of Bucharest
This hostel is very close to the old town and has a pretty good atmosphere. My bed was a bit broken (the mattress lent to one side), the beers at the bar are a bit expensive and the escape rooms cost extra, but overall it was a good stay.
Great hostel to meet other travellers at! Very small kitchen though and there are no lights in the outside area, so it's hard to sit and eat dinner or just to see who you're talking to! Not a crazy party place but There is just the right amount of crazy and calm in order to have a really good time. The Irish volunteers at the hostel are really cool and helpful and love to hang out with the rest of the travellers. Would surely recommend this place for solo travellers like myself.
awesome bathrooms, almost the best ive seen. the staff were super awesome and friendly and the activities available through the hostel were great. but, i think it would be a good idea if they put a sign or something at reception that warns about pick pockets in bucharest. just something simple like "watch out for pick pockets in town!" because several people, including myself, were robbed when i was staying there. if id known is was a common occurance perhaps i could have prevented it
Had a great time and they really love to advertise that they have 25 bathrooms! The rooms are secure with locks, but you need your own lock for the locker. The escape rooms are brilliant and you get a discount as a guest. The kitchen is a bit small, but suitable. They only have a bar crawl on Tues and Thurs, but the staff took us to town on other nights anyway and were very friendly. They came and sat with the guests outside to chat. When you arrive they tell you lots of things to see.
Was a great hostel to stay at! It's located close to a metro line & supermarket making it easy to access all the attractions and to buy groceries if you wanted to cook or late night snack (supermarket 24hrs). The staff were really cool & keen to help you out. Florin was a legend! Great atmosphere at the hostel and everyone seemed to get along well. Rooms were nice, bathroom had all you needed, kitchen was small but sufficient. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends
When I arrived the person who greeted me was not very positive then my bed was terrible as he sheet didn't even stretch to cover the mattress meaning I slept on the mattress protector. The room was hot and stuffy even with the air conditioner on which didn't work half the time. The kitchen was also quite dirty and disorganised with quite an unhygienic feel to it

A good hostel, with only a short walk to everything that you need. A friendly and relaxed outdoor and bar area. Kitchen was clean, as were common areas too!
Incredibly friendly & helpful staff. Always smiling & eager to help. You even get a welcome drink on arrival. The best hostel wifi I have ever had. The bathrooms are big & very clean. Nice outdoor space for mingling, & they offer cool escape rooms for you to try. The kitchen could have been stocked better though -no olive oil or vinegar, & on the first day there was no salt. Also found it weird they don't prepare the bed for you -they just leave the piles of sheets on your bed when you check in.
Great atmosphere overall. The staff was friendly and informative of things to see and do in the city. Although I found Bucharest to be surprisingly good, I found myself spending most of my time at the hostel bar meeting other travelers and getting to know the staff. The escape rooms were also very entertaining and a big bonus. A big thank you to all that made this a great stay.
Friendly and very helpful staff! They gave some great tips about what to go see and do.
