never ever again! worst hostel we've been to yet unfriendly staff, showers are very dirty, the air condition isnt working properly, nobody of us 3 could sleep a minute because every few minutes somebody came in the room ...never ever!
Not my favorite hostel. Tiny rooms and the staff just wasn't great. Charged 6 euro for a BBQ and the food was not good. I would not recommend this hostel. X Hostel in Alicante was much better.
I'll never forget this stay. Awesome people, awesome city! Thanks x hostel Malaga!

One staffer fought with a guest in the middle of the night for a few hours essentially preventing most of us from getting any sleep. The door to our room didn't lock by itself. It had to be locked from the inside - which no one ever did. Besides that, stellar location and chill terrace atmosphere.
Great location near the beach, Picasso Museum, Picasso's birthplace, and several restaurants/bars. Very nice staff! Could do with more showers/toilets- our floor only had one of each in the same room & the shower didn't drain well. Visiting other floors, the showers were very clean & drained fine so I'm not sure why ours was so questionable. Also, our room faced the front with bars open until 3am so sleep wasn't great.
Nice location and atmosphere, but the bathrooms were very dirty and the room was very tiny and had a window inside the building with no air coming in, and right above a laundry room and kitchen, were people were washing clothes at 3am. Checked out and moved to another place.
My friend and I came for four days but didnt really spend much time here. Our check in process was a bit scattered the man that checked us in forgot to ask for a deposit until we were already in our rooms and then when we were checking out he tried to say we didnt both pay our deposit(we both got our money back in the end) We never got our free beer cuz the terrace was only opened 9-12 and we werent available to get it. I would have liked it the terrace opened earlier.
I was really surprised that this hostel was top- rated on hostelworld. X hostel appears to be a re-branded old hostel that has only been reviewed by people who haven't seen how good hostels can be. That being said, I hate to mark it down just because it isn't new and shiny like some of the others I've stayed in, especially since it met all of my needs and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, but it just didn't meet my expectations given the high score on hostelworld.
Staff were really cool and the terrace at night was a great place to chill out before heading out. Unfortunately when we stayed the fridge stopped working which was a pain. Also I would suggest booking a 6 person room over a 4 person room as the room was really small and we saw a couple of 6 rooms which looked a lot bigger! Make sure you visit the bar across the road for the best/most potent sangria for €2.50! Overall a really good hostel. Would stay again.
The 5 euro Sunday bbq was a good deal and good for bringing people together. The beach was just a 15 minute walk away and the city center was just 5 or so. The only negative was in the 6 mixed room there was no AC and the fan was terrible.
Marco the owner is a great guy always trying to help.. the rest of the staff is helpful and friendly.... walking distance to the beach and next to many bars and restaurants... the perfect place to stay in Malaga
Good location, across from a wonderful bar. Pub Crawl scheduled was extremely disorganized and many people were left at the second club without any explanation and way to know where to go next. Friendly staff. Not the cleanest hostel, but good enough. No air conditioning and fans don't do anything to help with the heat. Average hostel.
Staff is great and super friendly. When I didn't have a key for the lockers because another guest had lost it they brought me a safe box for my valuables. Location can't be beat. Definitely worth the money
Stayed at this hostel for one night only. The welcome drink at the terrace was a very good idea. The 5 EUR dinner was also very good, however I thought that 5 EUR was a little too much; especially if you are looking to to get guests to socialized. At the middle of the night, like 2-3am the receptionist came in with 3 guests in the room, turned on the light and were not trying to speak quietly even though we were sleeping and a minute later they left. Other than that, very good hostel indeed.
Hostel was nice, but sleeping is difficult since there's no air conditioning
Nice hostel, very well located, beautiful and with nice atmosphere. I have to mention there are a couple of restaurants in the same street so there might be a little noise in the night, but nothing out of normal. I had a very nice stay
We had a great time at this hostel. The staff were fantastic, it was in a cool part of town, beach was in walking distance and they did cheap beers and dinners up on their terrace so it was easy to meet other travellers. We met so many awesome people there that we will stay in contact with including the staff. If you get into Malaga by bus I suggest just taking a taxi as it will only cost about 8€.
I had a great stay, nice staff, nice people, super social terasse - would definetely go back!
All the staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming.
