The hostel was fantastic. It was on a very quiet side street, which was welcoming after a long day of dealing with tourists. The common area was comfortable and a fun place to hang out in. The internet was a bit problematic, but it didn't ruin my time there. The rooms were nice, but the bathroom was a bit bizarre (the same size as the room itself, but the roof slants down so you only have a bit of area you can actually walk around without hitting your head).

Brilliant location for this hostel, a short walk from Bell and Drum Towers, the city wall and the Muslim Quarter (could walk around there all day!). Great food in the bar. Would recommend avoiding the trip to Terracotta Army and venturing there independently - felt dragged out and we were taken to factories and shops prior to seeing the Army. However, if you want a stress-free trip, this would tick the boxes, but you have to make some diversions!

i booked the basic 4 mixed room but the staff telephoned me that it wasn't valuable later. i know that was not their purpose but i think it is told first on the internet should be much better.

The cafe and bar here had pretty good western food if in need of a break from the Chinese culinary delights. The staff were extremely helpful and I really appreciated the pickup from the train station. Our towels were replaced daily which made us feel like we were in more fo a hotel than hostel. I would definitely recommend this hostel!

The staff at Xiangzimen could not have been more kind and helpful - I stayed there for three nights with three friends of mine (we are living and working in Hohhot but took a four day trip to Xi'an for our holidays) and I couldn't recommend the hostel, staff and facilities enough! I will be back to Xi'an some day and will most definitely be staying there again. It's more like a hotel than a hostel, but with excellent prices!

We don't like and will not recommend this hostel to any of our friends....The staff's attitude was really bad. They just changed the room we originally booked online and didn't give us a good reasonable explanation. I used to stay in some hostels in Kunming and Xiamen and they were good ones. But I never came across such a bad one. Really disappointed......:(

This hostel is more like a hotel than a hostel. If your a backpacker with a limited budget I suggest looking elsewhere. While this hostle was good for its location it had no atmosphere and the food and drink is really expensive. The rooms are also well priced but there is no place to really meet other travellers or just hang out. It would be good for older couples and families with some money.

Great location, more hotel like than hostel. But very clean and I have stayed there twice because of this. Great breakfast specials too!

The travel information is very bad. They send us to a trip to the tarracota. They promiss it will be only one factury on the way back but actuqaly in 8 hours of trip we have been in the Teracotta only 2 hours!!! Most of the time is selling and going to factury.... Don\'t trust them on Traveling information!!!

Everything was good and for the money, it was well worth it. The only thing was their bartender doesn't arrive until 5pm and none of the other staff could make cocktails before then. The gentleman at the check-in desk was very friendly and humorous.

We had a great time in Xian, and this hostel was really helpful giving us things to do and helping us with bus routes. The hostel is beautiful and all the other guests were really nice, too. We loved it, could have stayed longer...

Great location and atmosphere. The room we stayed in was on the second floor and it was a bit noisy due to the restaurant below our window...otherwise it was a great place to stay in. Food was ok, stick to bottled drinks. Very good location, close to the South Gate where you can rent bikes and ride along the city wall.

This hostel is quite big, that's the reason why it is a little bit impersonal. I stayed in a 10-bed-dorm, the room was huge, enough space for your luggage. There was only one window that looked towards the corridor in front of the room, so no outside light or fresh air, there is a air conditioner, though. You have your own locker inside the room. The bathrooms are okay, but not extremely nice. You have to walk through a restaurant and bar area before you get to the reception and the rooms.

I had a double ensuite room, it was clean & comfortable but no windows so it was a bit stuffy. I had to ask for the AC remote, they retrieved it from storage for me. The hostel is nice with a good atmosphere. Breakfast was good. Location was ok, 15 - 20 min walk to the Muslim Quarter and the airport bus.
