I was first given a tiny and smelly room, and I asked to change room. The second room I was given was much nicer, so I'm very happy the staff allowed me to change rooms This hostel is listed as hostel, but it would be more appropiated to call it budget hotel or guest house, because almost there are no facilities at all, just the room floors. So if you are looking for a budget hotel it is a very good choice, but not a backpackers cozy home

The stairs is too steep and difficult to climb or walk down the stairs with big and heavy baggage. Besides, the towels provided seems been there for years, don't really dare to use the towels provided. For money value, it's considerable if only for a short stay.

I arrived the hostel at 4am, and the staffs were still being very nice to me and they are very friendly to help for my inquiry.

The door is just too thin to protect a sound sleep

Toilet paper should be given in the toilets as standards. We were unable to find any upon arrival and had to get it on our own.

It is actually not a backpacker's hostel. From my point of view, it is just like a low-standard motel with no services at all. It can be a possible choice if you want to stay in Taipei for only one night, but definitely not not not a good choice if you really want to stay in TP for a longer time.

There was a slight stench in the room. There was no window and no common area, it's not really a hostel. Ok for the money and just one night of stay.

Excellent location in Ximen. Rooms were fine, I rented a double room for myself and paid the double rate. Clean towels daily, free Internet, wall mounted tv to catch up on BBC World News! No other facilities and it wasn't like a hostel where you can make friends easily during your travels. You get the keys from a busy foot massage business about 3 doors down the street. They have lockers to store your gear and will look after large luggage if you are early with check etc.

There was no obvious signage which indicates the hostel and the address that was shown on the website and upon booking was different. It was confusing and we had to go to the nearby 7-11 to ask them to help us call the number and find out how to locate the hostel. The furnishing and facilities were good but it lacked the feeling of a hostel and resemble more of a mini service apartment.

The room is very small, there's no space for me to lay out my luggage. I had to place it on the bed. The walls are very thin, you can hear people walking up/down the stairs and people talking. The boiled water from the kettle has a weird taste. The air ventilation is poor too as I could smell cigarette smoke.
