It's a pretty small hostel. Make sure you check in early if you want to stay in the dormitory or you'll get the top bunk bed in a crammed space. Pretty close from the train station and there's a lot of food option close by. The staff there is very friendly and were helpful when needed.
If you're after a stereotypical youth hostel with lots of rowdy international travelers, Yadoya guest house probably isn't for you. It's also quite small. But it's in amazing location (four minutes from Shinjuku station), the price is fantastic for Tokyo, and the staff were fantastically helpful and between them spoke Mandarin and English. If you can I'd recommend joining them for their weekly dinner on Tuesday night. Nearby locals and a few expats come for the food and company. Great fun!
Yadoya Hostel is a small hostel that really cozy n clean, their staffs are really nice, and the location is great, not far away from Nakano station near market place too and many interesting food n shop there...

I stopped for only one night in the dorm. The dorm is quite small for the amount of people they cram in there but the bed was quite comfortable at least. Good showers, good bathrooms, a small kitchen/ common room combo. Not much atmosphere but also quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is not the best but 24hr 7/11 across the street was great for ATM, food, or whatever. But like any city, hop on the subway 5-10 minute walk and go.
