Breakfast could be cheaper, but well if you do not want to pay £5 just bring something with you as I have done.

it's wonderful that the hostel is just located near the lake! But it's quite bored to stay at the hostel at night. In winter season, the hostel is locked at 11pm!

Perfect location for trips to the Langdale valley. Can't beat it for the price.

Located right on the Lake so the location is good that way. The bar is good, but the place was pretty quiet when I was there. Staff said it did vary based on who was in. Good place to base if travelling around the Lake district for a few days

the staffs made mistake that broke my locker and move my luggages without a notice, very bad experience! anyway the location is perfect and it is clean enough for backpackers to live.

All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The building itself is a great warren of rooms and corridors in a fantasic location - although my room itself was a little bland and my metal bunk bed was very creaky. Shared showers and communal rooms were kept clean, my room was clean, surrounding grounds clean. Not enough parking. The iron wasn't working in the laundry - which I think is crucial, otherwise I would have given a higher rating. I'd stay there again.

Excelent accomodation. really enjoyed our stay here, Can reconmmend to anyone. Downside is the drying room which could have done with a little bit more ventilation.

This place is in an excellent location but be prepared to pay for everything - wifi internet 8pound for 24hours, breakfast 5pound per person, non-membership fee 3pound per person and if you need towels that is extra too.
