Excellent place! I would definitely recommend it. It has all the services you need and it's new, clean, safe.

hostel is really spotless, excellent kitchen, lots of facilities and is right beside Queen St so v handy for a couple of days in Auckland if you're just looking for somewhere clean to sleep and cook. on the downside - huge so not much personality, staff are really unhelpful (e.g. - "is there a supermarket nearby?" "NO". and no further info!!!) and the internet is a total rip off - about 5x price of cafes nearby.

Personally worst hostelling experience I've had in the whole time I've been travelling. Hostel fine but old. Staff terrible. Didn't listen, rude, didn't give any information e.g. location of facilities (toilets, kitchen). Information sheet given totally out of date. Stay else where...

It's a good hostel but it's quite expensive for Auckland. Good to start your journey here, and the 4-beds are pretty spacey compared to the 8/6-beds. A better option to Base!! (If your not up for party every night)
