Staff were really helpful. A few minor problems with the booking but was sorted out easily and actually got an upgrade which was perfect! Close to the main street but still quiet.
This YHA is lovely, sunny 4 bed rooms on the second floor, the staff is really helpfull and nice, bathroom are ok, we meet a lot of cool people. Really enjoy our journey :)

Good hostel as expected by YHA. Nice location just off Queen street in central Auckland. Decent facilities but quiet atmosphere.
The hostel was in a good location, just off of Queen Stree, but far enough away from the traffic and noise. The staff was really helpful setting up bus rides and tours.
The kitchen is huge, clean and well equipped, and the hostel in general is secure and well maintained. I would stay here again.
The kitchen is big and well implemented and the bathrooms are OK but the rooms are a bit small and dark. They shouldn't let the guests leave all their big backpacks and suitcases in the room: no space and the room was a total mess. Also, only 2 plugs in a room for 8 people?! Plus, on my 2nd night they called me to the reception and they wanted to charge me 5 nights again. I had alreay paid and they didn't believe me. The problem was solved the next day but no apologies for their mistake.
Was only there for 1 night, but the kitchen was awesome! what was not so good though were the beds. Really uncomfortable. My back really hurt!
Beds in dorms metal framed, that's OK if they were maintained and tightened regularly to prevent swaying and squeeking every time u move a millimeter! Noisy bed but apart from that a pleasant stay

It's a very big hostel and lacks a bit ot atmosphere. Beds are not the best but okay. Location is fine.
Cramped rooms with breadbox sized storage were unexpected vs photo, amenities listed ARE NOT FREE pay for upgrade with free towels soap and room service. But I had stuff stolen from room and nothing ever turned in if I had only misplaced them. Located on a loud street during the night with tons of college students drinking wandering then 4-5am garbage trucks roar by and cars racing or screeching tires. Immigration sets persons up there secret to case out longstay visitors for why are they in NZ.
An OK hostel but some of the dorm beds are the worst in the world. If they threw them out today, a bum would not sleep on them. The other YHA in the next street much better, and the bathrooms too.
The cooking area is kind of messy during dinner time. Lots of backpackers are not cleaning up their own mess and sometimes it is hard to find a clean tea towel.
YHA International is a nice hostel with good facilities. I especially liked the big and well-equipped kitchen. What i didn't like so much was that wlan was 10$ a day. There were mostly germans like me, but i think thats not so different in other Auckland hostels. The Staff was friendly and the whole hostel was well-equipped and pleasant.
stayed here many times before, always good.
Friendly staff! Just wish that I got more guidance about what to do once I arrived. I was a bit overwhelmed because I'd never stayed at a large hostel before, so simple things like where the elevator is would've helped upon leaving reception. Other things like location of laundry, services, etc., on a piece of paper given upon check-in would've also helped. Otherwise, great!
Excellent location, parking is a nightmare and very expensive. Staff are friendly and outgoing, willing to help 24/7. Housekeeping need to pick up their game though, I had to move rooms because the beds hadn't been made.
Good clean hostel in a prime location. Wasn't very noisy either for being a large inner city hostel.
The 8 bed dorm was quite small and had no charging facilities...but generally i can recommend to stay there...
Great kitchen facilities but the dorm beds were uncomfortable and squeaky. Staff were very friendly!
