The hostel was nice. Our only comment is that the breakfast was advertised as full english & no mention that it was a buffet breakfast rather than freshly cooked. The trays in the canteen were filthy. We went through at least 6 & they were all in the same state.

That was my first stay with YHA since my youth! It allowed me to bring my grown up sons to Bath to visit their Uncle! We had a good time and that's what counts!

Very friendly and helpful staff at YHA Bath. We stayed in Room 3, no complaints, except that it did get really warm at night as the central heating was left on all night. No ventilation whatsoever, we felt a bit suffocated, so my friend and I couldn't really sleep. For a youth hostel, showers and toilets were quite clean, however the water pressure for the shower wasn't so great. Also, a drain in one of the shower rooms needs to be looked at. However, overall, a pleasant stay!

The building was lovely-the dining, living room & entry way were very pretty. It is on a hill above Bath- has great views. Its a nice 20 min walk from the centre. 6p cab ride back It took the guy about 40 minutes to check me in which was pretty annoying- everything too a long time. There was no complimentary tea/coffee. I was in a ?12 bed dorm which was nice. The shower was a bit difficult to manage as the was no room to aviod getting hair wet .there was no bath mate so water got all over floor.

Located in a beautiful house, but quite a walk from the town center (and a long walk up the hill on your return!)

This place is good to stay if you like beautiful houses and don't mind clambering up to the Bathwick Hill whit your luggage. I think that you can also get there with the bus U18 which leaves from the town center. It was very simple to check-in and out and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this old and cozy house. The self-service kitchen was well-equipped and the room of 10 people suitable for me and my friend. The only disruptive thing was the (false) fire-alarm on that night...

The hostel could be easy to reach by bus, as there's a bus stop right opposite the street, but it is quite difficult to get there by foot, as no clear directions are provided on your website nor along the street. The building is quite nice, staff is kind and helpful and facilities are good, especially for the well-equipped kitchen. We should recommend to better indicate how to reach the hostel, maybe including bus routes. Anyway, the place is really quiet, surrounded by green.

The facilities and cleanliness are fairly good. The staff are helpful and friendly though. However, no hair dryers are available for hire and the location is bad. We need to walk up a hill for 30 mins and the road is extremely dark. It's quite dangerous if you go back late at evening

ill equipped kitchen for self cateringe,ie no wooden spoons,no glasses,1 frying pan. No board games, games of any description. As a family we would not be choosing to stay in a youth hostel again. The room allocation was unbelievable given that i am a father of two daughters aged 9 and 11, and we were in the same corridor as a group of young men aged about 15/16 who insisted on creating as much mayhem as possible. I had to deal with the situation myself as there was only 1 member of staff on duty

Situated on a hill, it takes a walk to get to, and also provides a good view. Apart from no free breakfast or wifi, everything else is fine.

The location was terribly bad. every guest must climb up long and high hill with heavy luggages. Facility was bad service was worst. Radiator of my room was not working. Staff were foolish! I hate this hostel and will tell everybody do not go this. They must close for travelers.

The place was quite comfortable and we found the staff very friendly. The place was cozy and we found it very warm. The only thing is that if you do not know there are buses to go it is not easily accesible from the train station.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (there were 8 ladies on a xmas shopping trip). The staff were very friendly and knew what they were talking about.

seemed slightly understaffed; long waiting at reception but friendly, helpful staff. Possibly could have been pointed out that the free parking is limited to a short stretch on the road only. We were given a map and a cross was put on it but very small and even with glasses not easy to read. I loaded the car with our stuff at 11 am and parked just a bit higher up failing to notice that that parking was only for people with permit holder and was shocked to have received a parking ticket.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. The room was good, if a abit on the small side, although the ensuite was very spacious indeed. A hand towel and some hand soap would have been useful in the bathroom - especially if you are just coming for a weekend, one doesn't really want to pack lots of toiletries. Although it was lovely to come into a heated room, the heating did seem to be kept on all night which meant it was rather too toasty (in the annex,) at least)!

Very clean and basic. Ideal for a cheap night away in a lovely city. We arrived for breakfast about 30 minutes before it finished and the coffee was cold and also no fresh toast. Some of the dishes weren't very clean either. You can't really complain as it was cheap!
