Best hostel I have ever been, very clean, nice staff, very convenient, my only issu is you have to pay extra for wifi, it should be included in the price, but they are many pubs and coffee shops you can get it for free.

This struck me as a very classic youth hostel - basic, functional, with lots of young people. The location is great, extremely central, and this was a definite plus. The downsides for me were that it wasn't the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in - I had a few unexplained bug bites in the morning and my pillow reeked a bit of booze. Also, not providing soap in the bathrooms, even in a dispenser on the wall, seems a bit mean! Overall, though, was absolutely fine.

Great Hostel! Just use that stairs instead of the lift - it's much quicker!

This hostel is in a fab location for the city centre and looks out onto the quay! The tv lounge and games room both have ample space, comfy settees and large tvs. The staff are great and the rooms are spacious clean and very comfy beds. I was also suprised how clean the communal kitchen was and the kitchen facilities are varied and plentiful. (There is no arguing over a teaspoon or using a pan lid instead of aplate!) I would reccommend this above even some of the hotels in Bristol.

A great hostel with a brilliant location for viewing the centre of Bristol and have a evening out in bars and restaurants, close enough to the attractions to walk but not to close to effect you when you are in the hostel

Very good hostel, spacious and quiet room, good bed and bedding. Liked it very much. To be improved: breakfast (more variety) and cheaper access to the Internet! Be well, I liked staying there. Regine Beyer

The location of the hostel is ideal - right in the centre of Bristol and on the waterfront. The atmosphere in the hostel was amazing - great background music, comfy sofas and a great vibe - we would even pop in again just to sit in the cafe (really cheap and great coffee too). The staff couldn't have been more helpful, allowed us to use the showers and borrow a room to get ready for a wedding which we needed to be at before we were able to check into our room. We were very pleasantly surprised!

Prices should be advertised at the non discount price. This is misleading. YHA members already know they get a lower price - because they're members. I didn't appreciate being told I'd be charged more than the price I agreed to AFTER I had made the booking. Attention needs to be drawn to this very clearly before booking. Give two prices or something.

It is one of the best hostels I've stayed in over the last 14 months, although they do charge you for everything, i.e. Internet, storing bags and breakfast (welcome to the UK!) However the 4-bed dorm is excellent value, even when considered on an international basis. The quality is excellent and the en-suite facilities are great. They are a bit disorganised with the rooms - someone took my bed and they weren't really interested in solving the problem. Most other hostels handle this better.

This was a great hostel, location is ideal, rooms were clean, loads of nice open spaces to hang out -games room, reading room etc And the cherry on the cake was being able to get a nice pint late at night. I would recommend this to a friend.

On the plus side-really really clean and safe hostel. And they are pretty big pluses. Negative.I didnt like that I was charged a extra 3 pounds on arrival as I wasnt a member. No problem with that but don't like when ur not made aware of it.The girl at the counter was not very friendly and the staff in general were not very knowledgable about things to do in Bristol. The lift was painfully slow at times. And in general it is the most expensive hostel Iv stayed in- laundry+breakfast quite steep.
