Friendly and welcoming staff, very comfortable beds (even on the top bunk!), clean and well-equipped kitchens and bathrooms and lots of cosy places to hang out in (including 2 tv rooms). The best YHA I've been to in New Zealand. Usually I find them sterile and either full of loud and annoying youngun's or a severe, quiet and serious older lot - this one had a great range of well behaved but friendly and talkative travellers from all over. Building was neat, with large kitchen and plenty of space to eat and rest. Fantastic hot water shower with pressure! My only real complaint is that the mattress was old and saggy and my back hurt in the morning.The best YHA I've been to in New Zealand. The hostel is situated a 10 min walk from town. Not that far at all. The room I was in was clean and warm as was the rest of the hostel. I recommend the walking tour booklet the hostel has prepared for guests. If you are spending only a night and want to see as much as possible, this walks you through the main attractions in central Dunedin.The hostel is situated a 10 min walk from town. I loved my sty in Dunedin. The house is small and give the feeling to be at home. rooms are clean, with personnal light and a lot of blankets. I love the ecological side of YHA. But the heater turns off each over and it's really annoying to wake un to turn it on.I loved my sty in Dunedin.
