The stuff was very helpfull and nice. The hostel is a bit up the hill, but in Franz Joseph everything is very close. The kitchen is huge and give space for many many many people to cook at the same time. Enjoyed the place on my three days there.

good stay- but the skydiving advertised around the hostel is not for franzjosef, it's for somewhere else. so we booked not knowing and it was a bit annoying to change. other than that, definitely recommend.

Busy hostel, and kitchen was extremely crowded at peak times, with not a lot of elbow room. Kitchen tools/cookery not great. But nice location and staff. Rooms and bathrooms bare bones.

In the 48 hours we were there the kitchen was filthy the whole time. The walls are thin. The doors slam and are very noisy. the staff member on the front desk was efficient but not very helpful. the public bathroom was dirty and had no toilet paper or hand towles. the twin rooms were clean. teh lounge and tv rooms were inviting.

We weren't here for long as we were stuck on the freeway for a few hours due to an accident and arrived very late. We called the hostel just after 9 to ensure we could still get in after hours. The woman on the line was extremely understanding and very helpful. When we arrived we noticed the common room was very lively. It is a big hostel but where the rooms are it's very quiet.
