"Functional" is probably the best way to describe this hostel. Good sized kitchen, reasonable (albeit dated) rooms and handy lounge area. Lacks atmosphere, and does not have free WIFI or breakfast but is walking distance to town and the main beach.

Loved the atmosphere at YHA Gisborne. Located slightly off the city but within walkable distance from town. Staff were great - cheers for everything!
