The building itself is amazing. It is an old Parish House for the Catholic School across the street. The woodwork is absolutely beautiful. The location is near to the train station and the supermarket. I give it an A+.

Nice little place, MJ (the manager) was AWESOME and very helpful! We would stay again without question! Greymouth on the other hand... not the best place to spend time!

The YHA in Greymouth is an average hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only stayed one night and it was very quiet due to there not being many other bookings. Rooms and bathrooms all quite close together and would probably be quite noisy on busy nights. Kitchen was ok and room was reasonably clean.

Great place! Stayed just one night but can say that there is nothing complain about. Indian guy from reception was very helpful and sweet!
