We loved it. it was so great to be in such a beautiful setting and enjoy the area. The staff were really friendly and we loved the little walking paths in the area.

There were not enough power points in the dorm room. In fact there was only one in a room for 8. Also Hostelworld sent us the wrong address with no postcode so it wasn't easy to find the hostel. It would be great to have more clearer and visible signage as well as postcodes provided for people to find their way a little easier in the English Country side.

If you have a car, then it's the best hostel to stay in the west part of the lake district. You can have an amazing view on the lake and on the countryside. Well furnished, clean, cosy with a very nice staff.

A really great Hostel to an excellent price. The mansion is beautiful and the park invites to relax. The only down-side is the location, if you don't have a car. The walk to Hawkshead is far and there is no pathway on those narrow roads.
