Great hostel but a lot of older locals seem to hang around. The ensuite bathroom could use a fan because it got steamy pretty quick every time someone showered and it would heat up our whole room a fair bit even with the window open. Otherwise, comfy beds, nice lockable cabinets in the rooms, and great (although not free) breakfast!
I expect drunk residents,on Friday and Weekend nights,in a big city, like Liverpool, But having fallen asleep 10pm,ready for a 4am trip to the airport for a flight, I was awaken by two men, shouting cursing, banging the walls, one left, the other went into the Bathroom, heavy breathing, cursing, splashing water in the bath, banging the walls, He should not have been, allowed back,he was trouble the previous night!,i have more but i have used all the words!
Super comforable beds with big, soft quilt on top. The breakfast wasnt included, but there is a few shops not too far away and a kitchen to cook things in. The food served by the hostel is also pretty good price for lunch and dinner. Liverpool itself is kinda boring, but this hostel was located by the water so it wasnt the worst area. Only downside would be that the hostel appeared to be full of teenagers on a trip, so not a lot of atmosphere.
My favorite hostel! It's in a great location, 5 minutes from the pier, 10 minutes from Liverpool One (the shopping center). It has a really cool atmosphere, the sstaff were very nice, and the rooms were lovely. The rooms were cleaned daily, and were a good size. I stayed in a 6 bunk ensuite and there were 3 wooden closets that were an added bonus! It was a great experience!
The beds are confortable and there is plenty of space in the dorms. However, the wifi could be better and the kitchen would need to have more knives and free basic stuff (olive oil, salt, pepper, spices...)
The corridor between the shared bathroom and main corridor had no working light which was not helpful. Discussing with Reception didn't help. I stayed in an all female dorm but one of the guests brought a male in with her overnight on the night I stayed. And when I checked in, she had done the same and they were there sleeping when I went to the dorm to put my stuff away. I really wasn't happy with this. There were only 4 sockets to share between the 8 people in the dorm which was annoying.
Lovely hostel in a very good location. I really enjoyed my stay ☺
Good location not far from Albert Dock, a bit of a walk from/to train or coach station. Clean, spacious room, comfy bed. Had a couple of inconsiderate roommates, who returmed around 4AM on Saturday night and weren't very quiet, then left bathroom floor completely wet after using it in the morning. Apart from that, my stay was great. Will definitely consider staying there in future again.
Great place, great people & great facilities
Not the best atmosphere. Not the best condition. But all round good, particularly if you are just passing through liverpool and need somewhere to stay for a night. Good bike storage.
The location of the hostel is really good, close to the harbor and in walking distance with the city center. The staffs were really nice and helpful. Besides I think the facilities of room can be improved: the cleanness of the carpet, the ventilator or something to help the room have more air (esp. when you are in the dorm of 6-8 people)
The only big problem are windows that should be open more that that are now. Six persons in the room, to smelly. Liek army. I knpw that this the securites code...but you should find a way to airate rooms (naturally, withou air concition) properly

The toilets in the bedrooms were completely awful. The worst thing was not just that these were dirty, but there were not enough tools for hanging the towels or other stuff, the water felt down with very low pressure in the shower and also the lamp in there was broken. The atmosphere wasn't so good as expected because the hostel was full of families with children. Definitely this was not a "youth" hostel at all. Moreover, my bedroom had a really really bad smell. These details must be sort out.
I stayed here 3 nights while traveling around the world. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Beds were comfy. Good water pressure and hot water in showers. Nice lobby and cafeteria and a kitchen to cook for yourself if you want. Plus it's close to everything so you can walk. Doesn't serve free breakfast but that was fine by me. You can buy meals at all time of day. Overall I had a nice stay. Not a party hostel. Families with kids as well as many ages of single travelers. No one interacts.
