The location of this hostel would be the selling point for me. It is a beautiful area and a beautiful building. It is very close to the nearest metro station and well connected to the rest of the city. However, during hotter temperatures the hostel feels extremely warm and humid and can barely sleep because of this, even with a fan and window open. The hostel is 24/7 which means you might get people checking in late, in my case 3am, and disturbing your sleep. The showers were very clean.

Like all YHA hostels, not exactly the place you expect to socialise much but it's perfect if you want a clean and safe place to sleep. Our dorm only had one fan though so it was a little hot at night.

During a heat wave, our room (4 women) had only 1 fan between us and windows on the second floor that wouldn’t open fully, leaving no real airflow. It got so unbearable I ended up sleeping in the lobby one night and had to book a temporary hotel nearby to cool down safely. When I asked staff for a second fan, I was told it wasn’t possible. The heat in the room led to me experiencing heat stroke, and despite raising the lack of adequate heat wave preparation, I was refused a refund. Disappointed.
